It 'used to" be about 45 days, but in recent months, most people (me included) are reporting that they seem to be paying at about 30 days.

Thank you dreaminofcruisin.  I phones Princess here in Australia this afternoon and after much tooing and froing, the operator suggested I wait until the end of the week and check again.  LMFO, obviously no-one knows what it going on post pandemic.  Anyhow I'll wait and keep checking.

    Thank you again.

  2. Can anyone advise approximately when Princess actually pays the airline.  I booked EZAir 'flexible' and of course have made full payment.  My cruise is  33 days away and the airline won't let me choose seats until payment is made.

  3. Thank you for your prompt response yes!yes!yes!  Much appreciated.

Depending on the fee, they would be very helpful for us now that we are not as young and fit as we used to be LOL.

E.T.A.  If anyone is interested in this, the company is called OACIS and I think it costs $35 per bag?

We walked off with  one suitcase and collected the other two in the terminal.

We went 40 minutes before our allocated time and had no wait. We waited 5 minutes for a taxi.

Virgin terminal at Sydney is filthy. Toilets are disgusting. Lots of food and dirt between the chairs and  needs a good vacuum. Huge line to drop off bags.

Pre Covid if you were flying Virgin there was a service set up in the OPT and White Bay that, for a fee, would check you in and they would transport your checked in luggage to the airport so it could be loaded on your flight.  Did you notice if they were at the OPT when you disembarked the Coral Princess this morning?  I can't remember their name I'm afraid but they were mentioned here on CC a couple of times pre covid.  Can anyone recall what their name was?

Most of the speshul people don't seem to bother anymore, and only the rooly speshul people can be bothered it seems. But they are still doing it.

I wasn't meaning to drag up the past here from a whole 2 months ago, but just wanted to note that a Princess tote bag was on our bed the night before our first port. I don't know in your case if they had run out, but we felt speshul to get one.

For anyone starting to poke around here recently looking for tips on Coral, this topic is a good starting point and a great read.

Ah yes, but do they still have those speshul Princess PENS in the cabin???  I hope so, I'm down to my last 2! 😟

Were the edges of the hard cooked egg grey or is that just the color of the photo?  One of my pet peeves is improperly cooked hard( cooked, not boiled) eggs.

They looked grey to me too.  Yuk!  Whoever cooked them needs to go back to cooking school and relearn the proper way to hardboil eggs!

My tip (for what it's worth).  Place room temperature eggs in saucepan.  Cover with cold water from the tap.  Bring to the boil and lightly boil for 6 minutes (7 minutes if they're large eggs).  Drain and fill saucepan with cold water.  Drain again then plunge eggs into an ice water bath to cool down.  Once cooled peel them immediately.  Place on plate and cover with cling wrap and place in fridge until ready to use.  Simple really.

  7. All I can suggest is to complain LOUDLY ON BOARD about the crappy wine offerings.  I won't be boarding until October but I really hope those offerings have been replaced by then ... well, I "bought" the plus package before they decided to serve crap.

So complain ... complain and even more ... COMPLAIN!!!  Things just might get back to normal if you do.

    Good luck current cruisers.

What is a PES?😕       Be gentle,  I'm an old fuddy duddy.

Platinum Elite Suites evening lounge from approx 4.30-5.30PM each evening where a selection of nibbles are offered (F.O.C.) and they have a menu of special cocktails which aren't free of course.  I did a couple of cruises on the Golden Princess where it was held in Skywalkers.  It wasn't offered on the Sun class ships.  They have a "bouncer" on the door so only those "speshul" people are allowed in.  🙄

Maybe Princess has done away with this like they have with pillow chocolates, tote bags and those tub chairs in the cabins.

Ozwoody I'm probably older and even fuddier duddier that you are LOL.

  9. Thanks Leigh & Julie ... got it!  As that meerkat says "Simples"!  Yes Julie, I've bought the plus package so all good there.

I would hope that the O.P.T. has dragged itself into the 21st century had free wifi installed during the cruise ban ... airports have free wifi as do shopping centres, libraries, etc.  It's the norm these days and to not have it would seem like the "olden days".
