  1. It's not a real event like NCL's White Hot Party. You might see Electric White Night in the Fun Times. It's just $1 off drinks if you're wearing white. That's it. I've been on a couple of cruises where they had the dancers wearing white and they did a quick performance, hung out for a few minutes and passed out glow sticks. lol You'll see a few people wearing white that either know about it or coincidentally brought something white, but it's not something you can't come to if you're not wearing white. ;)

I never even knew they did this lol.

  2. Our first cruise was our honeymoon, a gift from DH's parents. At the time I was convinced I would hate cruising. The minute I stepped on Pride and got a look around I was hooked! Now I love researching cruises and itineraries and talking about them!

I know my fiancé is not as excited as I am. But I know once he cruises, he will love it!

  3. We actually flew to Jamaica and spent a week there at Sandals for our honeymoon; one of the highlights was climbing Dunns River Falls. This past July we cruised on our actual anniversary date and climbed Dunns River Falls again. We are at the tail end of several cruises that were part of celebrating our 25th...they kind of snowballed into more than we originally planned! Happy Honeymoon!!

  5. Honeymooners here. We were on the RCCL adventure for our honeymoon back in 2003. It was the best time ever till we went snorkeling in Aruba. Hubbs didn't take off his wedding ring and the salt water shrunk his fingers so much that the ring feel off. Don't wear your rings in the ocean.

P.S. Although I was mad as hell and the rest of our day was ruined we have made it through 12 wonderful years. Enjoy your trip!

  6. I live on here as well! If I ever hit the lottery ...look out! :D I'll be diamond in no time lol...

We discovered cruising when we won our first cruise in 2006. We went on the Carnival Glory. As the mom who gets to plan vacations, reserve hotels, find places to eat/park, buy attraction tickets ...I'd be worn out before we even went. When I boarded a cruise ship the first time and didn't need to worry about where I was going to park, sleep or eat ( need something to please each family member and cruises have that!) I was in heaven! I was so thrilled!

We went on to cruise the Legend, Triumph, Liberty and are going on the Glory again for spring break. We've been to St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, Cozumel, Costa Maya, Belize, Roatan, Grand Turk, Aruba, Curacao, Grand Caymen, St. Maarten,Bahamas and I've probably left out a few. Grand Cayman continues to be a favorite for me. Belize is the port I like the least. It's more about the ports for me..I think it's what you make it. I don't go to party till I puke..I go to chill and experience new things. I love showing my family these things and sharing those memories together. Everyone has their own idea of what they want their vacation to be.

I just think it's so great we have this forum to share our love of cruising!:D

I really wanted to cruise to Aruba for our honeymoon, but the ones we looked at didn't work out as my fiancé had to be back in Africa during those times! But hopefully he likes cruising because I have my eye on a southern Caribbean cruise that has Aruba as a port for a Christmas vacation with the kids!

  7. We did! Our very first cruise was our honeymoon - a gift from my husband's job. Fascination. Back then she sailed out of Miami, and we went to Key West and Cozumel. We had a blast and have been hooked ever since.

Cruising is always exciting for us. And if it ever gets to the point where it's not, we'll stop. Enjoy your honeymoon and congratulations on the wedding!

Why thank you! I don't think I could ever get to the point where cruising wouldn't be exciting. Of course I get excited about all kinds of things lol. I had to call my mom and sister yesterday because Walmart had cookie dough for a dollar!!!! But I am way more excited for this cruise!!!!

  8. Everyone I don't know what to do. I am just way to excited! I wake up looking at cruise / vacation stuff and go to bed looking at cruise / vacation stuff. Every time my soon to be husband calls from work, all I want to talk about is the cruise/ vacation. I am constantly searching looking at pictures and reviews and posts! My 2 year old daughter is even starting to talk about the cruise lol. And I don't really want help lol. I want people to post their favorite cruise pics and stories! I wonder if anyone else on here has honeymooned on a cruise? Tell me if u have!

  9. My husband and I are foodies and it's, hands down, the best steakhouse we've ever dined. Well worth the price.

My soon to be husband (yay) is a big foodie. He has eaten at all kinds of restaurants all over the world. Yet I swear the thing he is most excited about for this cruise is the guys burgers lol. I am hoping he enjoys the steakhouse though. I'd like to eat there on our wedding night, and I was thinking it would be the nicest place to eat that night on the ship! I hope it is as good as you say it is!!! I am so excited!

  10. ) there was hardly ever anyone in there.

City folks dont dance to country music. They prefer reaggae, disco, salsa and merengue.

They never played country music. In all the clubs on all the ships I have been on, they play pop / hip hop stuff.

  11. I agree with gapearl. Of the cruises I have been on, it has been hit or miss. My cruises out of NOLA, the club was filled every night. On my other cruises, out of mobile, (wish they still sailed from there [emoji20]) there was hardly ever anyone in there.

  12. Wow, that's a big bill ($1,100) for just 2 folks. Even the Everest Room in Chicago is not that high.

And yeah, I think $70 a head is pretty high for cruise ship food.

Lol it really wasn't the food, it was the wine and champagne we ordered.

  13. Food taste's vary considerably from one person to another. I have a friend who thinks only rich folks can eat at a high class restaurant like Outback. A nice night on the town for him and his wife consists of a stop at Taco Bell and a 6-pack. He would probably give you a different opinion of the steakhouse than I would. The only way to really know is to try it your self.

Last time my wife and I had dinner at the steakhouse on the Splendor by the time we got thru with a couple of drinks and tips to the wait staff (I know you don't have to) our total was around $130 - $140. The 2 of us can do Ruth's Chris for not a whole lot more.

140 is inexpensive! I've spent about 8 times that eating before! I am looking forward to the steakhouse though!

  14. Especially with regards to price.

My last carnival steakhouse visit my steak was better than my last visit to ruth chris. Ruth overcooked my last steak and when I mentioned it they seemed to suggest I was mistaken. Oh well. I will be going back to carnival but not ruth's

Yeah the last time I ate at Ruth's it was okay. Wolfgang was a different story. It was so good I ate there again twice that week.!

  15. If you are talking about the free bottle they give you the first night thought the chardonnay was worth what we paid for it. Awful.

Friends we were with that night did like the merlot.

I wasn't talking about the free wine specifically, but good to know that the merlot was ok. I really was wondering if carnival had a good selection of wines available.

  16. Need opinions! Is the steakhouse food comparable to that of a fine dining restaurant or more like an outback ( not saying that in a negative way cause I do love outback lol). Just wanted to know what to expect. Didn't want to expect Wolfgang or 32 when it is more along the lines of longhorn or outback. Going to eat there either way lol.
