This is the tour I saw on Trip Advisor. Any clue about this?Granite falls zodiac tour by Vancouver water adventures .
This is a Port of call on Royal it's a round trip from Seattle.

I'm sorry I thought this was a Vancouver forum. I have no idea where in Vancouver they dock.

Is there a cheap or easy way to get to the places where you can catch a free shuttle It takes you to the suspension bridge?
Is it doable on your own on a port
stop? Also I saw a zodiac tour that takes you along some of coast. It leaves from boat lift lane Is that within walking distance of the port? We will be on Royal Caribbeans ovation in August.

If I could do a 1 way I would definitely do that in my opinion! We were in Alaska and did a cruise 16 years ago. We had wanted to do a one-way but couldn't make it work with the family's schedule so we spent a few days on land first. (Loved it!) I don't think the cruise shows you the real Alaska. My husband and I are doing another Alaska cruise in August because I'm sick of going to the Caribbean and figured it's prettier!

WE are planning on renting a car before and after our cruise. we want to dropnoff and pick up on our return somewhere downtown close to the port. Is there any with a shuttle to and from the airport? I called one place and I'm not sure the guy knew what he was talking about!
-
Can you decline some of the free stuff when booking a cruise? The tips for the drinks and specialty dinner make the cruise more expensive than we want to pay.
And considering we won't do the dining nor do we drink it's pointless for us to get it!

We do have a financial advisor that helps me with retirement stuff and 401K 's but I didn't realize you got on board credit by being a share holder so it may be something I want to look into but not sure how to purchase them on my own or whether you need to go through someone else. If we cruise enough our investment could pay for itself whether the stock market crashes or not.
-
How do you go about purchasing shares?

Snorkeling wasn't bad if you went out by the rocks.
A local said Maho Beach is better for snorkeling! I'll have to check it out next time.

I didn't think there was any ferry besides Red Hook when we were there a week or so ago.
We did it on our own caught a taxi to Red Hook- didn't make it to the 9 o'clock so had to wait till 10 then took the 2 o'clock back as we had to be back on the ship at 4:30. I'm glad we left that amount of time. We actually left Trunk Bay at 1:15 and there were taxis waiting.

I didn't see lockers but they had restrooms, showers, food truck and a food stand and a couple places to rent snorkel stuff and chairs.
-
There are plenty of taxis waiting! Prices vary on where you go. Trunk bay was $6 one way

I'm not sure the port but Know it was far away from the market place. So maybe Crown Bay?
Water temperature not too bad and I didn't go into the water anywhere else higher than my knees!
There were restrooms and showers also!

Look up my recent post on St John on your own. There is food, drinks and chair.
-
Just did St John on our own yesterday so I'll give you a run down on cost. The ship didn't give us the option of going on our own.
We had hoped to get off the ship by 8:15 but it was after 8:30 so no way of making the 9:00 ferry. So took the 10 over and 2 back to be back to the ship by 4:30
Taxi going to Red Hook- $10 pp
Ferry- $16.30 RT
Taxi to Trunk Bay- $12 rt
Taxi back to the ship- $11
Admission to Trunk Bay-$5
Total for 1 person- $54.30
Do not plan on using credit cards as that option wasn't available.
I took pictures of the prices for rentals of snorkel stuff and food on the food truck so any questions I'd be happy to answer for you!
St John is just gorgeous and the beaches are beautiful! Just wish we had more time!

We have just boarded on the Vision and went to book that your and they told us they are not offering it! We are thinking of trying to do it on our own? We went there several years ago and really just liked exploring on our own!
-
We did something very similar through Royal 4 years ago. It left from close to the port area and took close to 45 min each way'
We got off the ferry and walked to the visitor center and they told us how to walk to Honeymoon beach (it took about half an hour) I liked it as there weren't many people around. My concern for you would be what time the excursion would start and end. I'm currently looking at the ferry schedules for myself in Feb and it looks like the last one that leaves St John is at 3:45 to return to Charlotte Amalie. So how much time do you actually have there? Our tour ended up being longer than they advertised I believe because we left at 11:15 on the ferry and returned at 4:30 actually didn't make it back to the port till close to 6. I wonder now if there a time difference?
To do the ferry on your own its $24 pp so it may be worth the extra for peace of mind.

We were there in December and used JnJ Tours and were happy with them. We saw Annandale Falls, the Grand Etang Lake, rainforest, monkeys, the chocolate factory and the fort. We originally had requested for them to drop us at Grand Anse Beach and were going to take the water taxi back, but it started raining so we decided to return to the ship with the others on our tour. I believe they will customize a tour to see exactly whet you are interested in seeing. Here is a link to the website:
How long was your tour and about how long was you at each place and what was the cost?
-
Have you walked out by the water below the forts? It's a nice walk. I'm not sure I'd say it classifies as fun, but it is something to do and you will see plenty of cats!

sorry I contacted a tour operator trying to find out the cost to get there and if you were allowed to explore the park and snorkel on your own, She said she didn't know and would check but I never heard back.
We were just in Nassau and just walked to Junkanoo since I wasn't sure about the other.

I was just in Nassau Friday and had a beach massage AT JUNKANOO beach The one place I normally go to (Angels) wasn't open that day . For deep tissue she charges $65 for an hour . There was another place that I got one for $75 for 60 minutes. A swedish massage is maybe $10 cheaper? I think a 20 min. one was $30 or $35

Go to the right out of the port follow the water till you come to a beach with a bunch of colorful shanties ( I believe it's Junkaroo beach ) they have a massage place

Not sure if you have already cruised or not. I have had a beach massage in Nassau twice we will be returning in a couple of weeks and I told my husband I have to get one!
Walk out of the cruise terminal and go right keep walking along by the water you will come to a beach with several little shanties (one is a massage place) and a bar? I think it's Junkaroo Beach.

Was it easy to find the downtown transit center? Are the buses clearly marked saying they are headed to mendenhall Glacier.
Any help on how to do public transit would be appreciated as we aren't familiar with it.
