  1. On that deck 9 inside room, how do you know if you have a "pullman bed", or a counch that is a pull out? The picture of the room that we have (room 9669) shows a couch, but how do youknow if it's a pull out or not?

I can't say for positive, but everytime we've needed 3 or 4 beds they come down out of the ceiling! never had a sofa bed and we've had the kids with us on 7-9 cruises? And just did yhr Freedom with 2 adult kids stayng in our room and that's how it worked then.

  2. We did this in Sept. on Freedom at Port Canaveral with 6 of us all having a large suitcase and a backpack (about panicked when the day before had a paper saying no large suitcases as you have to use escalator and be able to hold on! Customer service said it would be ok) we needed to be off the ship as soon as possible as we had to get everyone driven to Pa to work Mon. morning I was surprised how long the line was and heard many people grumbling but we were off the ship had the car top packed and leaving by 8:15 so I was happy with it!

  3. Do they charge you for miniature golf? If so, how much? How about Flowrider?

Mini golf is free just grab a club and ball and play whenever you feel like it!

Flow rider is free make sure you take your sea pass card and they will give you a bracelet to wear (after you sign the liability waiver) and you can use it

whenever they are open. Husband son and son in law fell in love with it!

Inside rooms are small but we had 4 adults in there in Sept. and we managed fine as we just use it to sleep and shower and for us it was worth the $$$savings.

  4. We are four adults sailing with thompson majesty, one of the ports is rome on the 2 nd sept. Looking at a tour for 8 people(4 spaces), if anyone wishing to join?. The cost for a full day tour of rome, would work out at 75 euros each person.

Who are you using for that price? We won't be there till a couple weeks later and the couple places I've checked is quite pricey! Does it include admission to anywhere?

  5. We did FOS in Sept with 3 young adult kids and new son in law his first cruise (26,24,23 and 21And hubby 47 ) after reading reviews it's always interesting to get your own opinion. We enjoyed it and ate at the Windjammer every meal! No complaints! 1st time on a ship with a flow rider and my hubby is in love! He outdid the boys so he was in his glory! I've booked 2 cruises since for April and Sept. and my husband had to know if it had the flow rider or not (1will) they also kept busy with volleyball tournaments and rock climbing and they do have mini golf and every spare moment they were back at the flow rider!

  6. Thinking of going here to hike while in port. Anyone know how much a taxi would charge? How far? Dutch or French side? Stupid to do with the mosquito fright? We have been there twice and did the Orient Bay, Dawn beach and airport things wanting something different!

  7. We will be in Tortola Easter Sunday 8:00-5:30 would like to go see the Baths on our own versus the cruise ship, but is there anything going on at either place like parades etc. that would make it extremely busy or should we just book through the ship would rather not get left! Best suggestions to get there on our own?

  8. I do know when we went with Carnival we were allowed back off in SJU,but we went out of Port Canaveral on RCI and hadn't taken all our carryons on board and when we wanted back off the ship it was a huge hassle! So not sure how it would be in SJU but wouldn't be surprised if it's the same there.

  9. I am wondering if it is possible to walk from Royal Caribbean pier to Old San Juan? We have sailed on Carnival and it was very convenient to check in and walk off the ship to town, but I know Royal is on the other side of the bay? I am too cheap to pay for a taxi from the airport to the pier then over to Old San Juan and back to ship I'm afraid that would add up quickly! My husband and I walk 4+ miles regularly, but not sure if there are sidewalks to safely walk it? Is there a Walgreens of CVS on that side?

  10. I have a deposit down for a cruise out of Barcelona in Sept, after booking the cruise I am now having doubts whether I want to stay with them or switch to RCI This is my dilemma I read that the shower and toilet are separate with frosted glass that's quite see thru. We are staying in the room with our adult son and daughter and would at least like some privacy in the bathroom! Is this really the case? Also I read there is no show the first night is that true? We were on Norwegian one time and Royal several times and we do prefer Royal, but figured if it would save $1000 it was worth it, but my family enjoys having a show to watch every evening to keep them busy and would like to shower without everyone in the room seeing my silhouette! LOL
