  1. May be that is why on the Seabourn Source App, I am seeing that the iternary for September 25 have been changed from just a "Sea Day" to a "Scenic cruising of the Saguenay Fjord". This change is odd because we will be in Hauve St. Pierre on September 24, and going to the Saguenay Fjord will be a backtrack towards the direction of Quebec City. However, the iternary for the remainder of the cruise is not changed. Maybe more to come later?
  2. In the case of requiring a test before boarding Seabourn in Vancouver, one cannot blame Seabourn. They are just following the Canadian government's requirements.
  3. Thanks Laylam for the update. This clarifies what we need to do for our upcoming cruise. Now, I will start the process of making a booking for covid tests.
  4. Please keep us informed whether SS let you board without a test. We are scheduled to board the Quest in Montreal on September 22.
  5. Maybe SB should take a few snowmobiles to their antarctica expeditions! Shark, thanks for taking us for a great ride, both on land and at sea.
  6. If you want a down-to-earth quick bite at the Jasper Park Lodge, try the staff cafeteria, The Grizz. When we were there in early June, we got a pizza, had some beer and watch a hockey playoff game with some of the staffs there. You can find their location and menu on Google map. As for room, we also had one of those rooms without A/C. Fortunately, when we were there Jasper cooled down at night very fast, and we could still sleep comfortably.
  7. Shark. No, no, no. I would be the worst TA ever. After our RM trip this year, we are interested in completing the loop next year and do the 3 day RM trip from Jasper to Vancouver. So, your itinerary looked odd. I thought RM has changed their routing. We will be very interested in your photos and comments regarding the second half of your RM journey.
  8. I thought the trip from Jasper to Whistler has a stop for one night at Quesnel, and then another night at Whistler?
  9. When we were on the RM in the end of May, the guides told everyone that mask was required when moving around the carriage, but optional at the seats. I do see them politely reminding passengers once in a while, and the passengers all complied. But, it was several months ago, and things may have changed. Enjoy your trip.
  10. While in Alaska, you harvested some glacier ice. If you want some replenishment of your glacier water, bring a bottle with you when you visit the Columbia Icefield on your way from Lake Louise to Jasper. You can fill your bottle with glacier melt water on the glacier itself.
  11. Food on the train was surprisingly good. One can order an extra main course for sharing, which we did for both lunches. To compensate, we had a very light dinner later.
  12. Love your posts. We did a 7-day Rocky Mountaineer tour in May. We loved the 2 days on the train, but not so much the crowded bus rides after the train. You are doing a 12-day tour, presumably with 5 days on the train, which involves less bus rides. Looking forward to see your photos and comments. In Vancouver, Rocky Mountaineer put us up in the Farimont Vancouver. It is about a 15 minutes walk from the cruise terminal, but uphill. Wonder which hotel you are staying in.
  13. I am also going to be on the Quest in a month and a half, and have installed the new app. It is really intersting to be able to see all the menus, especially because there is another "live on the Quest" thread with great pictures of some selected dishes! Seabourn is making it so tempting!
