Sorry I ment inclines. I have run out of battery, but I was on board, at the end of a shore day and my wife pushed me to our cabin. It was the 1st time using it and I just didn't pay attention to my indicator.

Keep you eye on the battery strength indicator. If they told you 10-12 miles, you probably have a heavy duty battery . As was said before, weight, in lines and even carpet will drain faster. And always take the charger with you. Also always charge overnight.

Was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the aft stateroom PR727 on the Island Princess? I read a very negative review of this cabin. To be fair, the whole review was negative. Not sure why they even went on a cruise. This is an accessible suite.

Thanks. We will be driving in from a long distance. I thought about hotel parking, but not really that excited about that. (Mainly worried about the pickup following the cruise. Again thanks for the replies. I think we will use the port parking.

Wondering about handicap parking at the port or near the port for a Princess cruise in late Oct. I use a scooter.

If she has never had or driven a scooter, she needs to use it (a lot) prior to the cruise. I've used a scooter for 12 years, we have been on 3 cruises and are booked on the 4th. I still run into walls, doorways, and people. (usually toes). You can't just get on one expect to drive away. With that said, they are great to be able to keep up with family or to just move around the ship on your own. As stated before, you MUST have an accessible cabin. You might consider a wheel chair instead.

I understand the full transit may be better. my question was about an aft (rear of ship) suite.

- Wondering how good an idea it is to book an aft cabin on the Island Princess for a Panama canal cruise.

We are taking the Princess cruise from Vancouver round trip March 22. Ports are Hilo (Sat 3/28 9am to 6 pm, Honolulu Sun 3/29 7 am to 11 Pm, Kauai Mon 3/30 8 am to 5 p, and Maui (Lahaina) Tue 3/31 7 am to 6 pm. Questions about rental car at those ports. What company will pickup and deliver from/to port. With 6 of us seems better to rent than to book excursions. Thoughts?
Second question. A Luau in Honolulu. Keeping in mind the times we have and being there on a Sunday.

Has anyone cruised on Azamara? Looking at the Southern France and Spain November 2015. I use a scooter (Go-go Elite Traveler) to get around and was wondering about ports and the ship it's self. Ports are:Monte-Carlo, Monaco - Cannes, France - Toulon (Provence), France - Palma De Mallorca, Spain - Valencia, Spain - Barcelona, Spain. Cannes is a tender port.

It's to bad you have already purchased a full size scooter, as someone else replied, the Go-Go elite is great for travel. I can check it at the gate for airlines, put in the back of my van or my wife's car as the most a part weights is 25 pounds it think. I do have a larger scooter that stays in my van all the time, but I have a lift. The Go-Go is perfect for ships, small easy to get around those who "don't see you". The three wheel can be a little unstable, but with practice you learn where and how to go. I also replaced the small battery with the larger one. Ran out of juice in the hall to our cabin one night, my bad.

Has anyone had experience with MSC Divina traveling with a scooter?

I would also gate check the scooter. I checked mine one time, when I got to Detroit, my scooter was at the gate, and my battery was at check luggage. It was midnight. I have always gate checked since then even with connecting flights.
I would also suggest, if he is a new rider, he goes to a mall or some place that as a lot of people milling about. Just to get use to driving and avoiding the ones who think they are the only ones on the ship.
We have never had a problem in the dinning room. They take you the table, remove the scooter and return it when you are ready to leave.
Have a great trip.

We are thinking of a cruise/tour to Alaska. How well does it work for a person that uses a mobility scooter. Buses, trains, and boats? We usually cruise with HAL, but maybe another line would be better suited for us. Thanks and Happy New Year.
Booking new cruise while on board.

Was wondering if there is any advantage to booking a new cruise while on board and what they may be. Also can my TA take over the booking?
