  1. I have to agree with Coral. This by far the worst itinerary in Alaska. Most people only cruise once to Alaska and they picked an awful schedule. I would also suggest picking up Alaska cruise books and look into booking another ship and itinerary if their goal is to see Alaska. There is plenty of availability so the ship was not chosen due to the only ship with space like many this year who picked this ship.

What itinerary do you sugest as I was also considering the same cruise the OP mentions

  2.

As you've probably read, your cabin is usually ready the minute you step aboard on Princess. No wandering around with your carry-on, waiting for your room to be ready.

    Thats good to know!

I do love the idea of formal nights as we own formal wear (from the Mardi Gras region of the US ) But I also very much prefer to have romantic 2 person dinners since we will be on our anniversary cruise.

  3. I am considering a Princess Cruise to Alaska for next April or May for our 20th wedding anniversary. Unfortunatly the resent reviews are looking a little sad. Was hoping to hear from the pros here on cruise critic.

We have only sailed once before (15th wedding anniversary on NCL to W.Caribbean). We enjoyed the cruise for the most part (the info-mercial sale type things were annoying like "come play bingo or the "free raffle" that wasnt actually free). We are a young 40 and 52 and are pretty active. Not much on drinking and we do not gamble. While i love to Dance my husband doesnt so much care for it but will dance some. We are not foodies but we want the food to be good.

I am also looking at NCL and Royal Caribbean cruises. I will not cruise Carnival.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

  4. I personally would take the Seward down to Vancouver. You will be in open seas if you leave from Seattle and see nothing until you are in Alaska. I made the mistake of going to Alaska the end of May, first of June. We missed seeing so much going that early. If your interested in seeing animals, I would consider going later. At least, don't leave from Seattle. Unless you just want to see Seattle, which I love!!

Since we have to fly southwest from Pensacola Fl so Seattle seemed to be the best port. Ill check on flights into Seward as well

  5. My husband and I will be celebrating our 20th anniversary with an Alaskian cruise in April or May of 2018. There are 2 ships available and i really have no idea how to choose. We have cruised once before, a Western Carribean out of New Orleans, NCL Star I think. I like Norweigan for the freestyle dining since we are on a "romantic anniversary cruise" and so we can eat when we want to and sit alone if we want.

But i am open to suggestions with other lines if there is a better option :)

    Many Thanks

  6. . They have several packages at Little French Key to choose from. Three in our group also did zip lining. They were taken to the highest point on Roatan and took 8 different zip lines down! I asked them what they could see and my DD said "Everything!!!" It sounded incredible and was cheaper doing it through them than elsewhere.

I was wondering how much Little French Key cost and how much the added Zipline was? I dont see the prices on their website.

  7.

As far as Costa Maya...we have only done Maya Chan and now Almaplena, so I can't comment other than those two places on snorkeling.

I hope that helps some. Let me know if you have any questions. :)

Excellent THANK YOU! i will check out those reviews (already saved in bookmarks ill be reading all night).... Which in Costa maya would you suggest? out of those 2?

  8. Wonderful review! Thank you so much! We are on the Star 3/3/13 and very excited. Port excursion reports were very helpful. I was wandering where you suggest the best place to Snorkle would be in these 4 ports?

We are planing to do Cave Tubes in belize and Zip-N-Dip in Roatan but I have no clue what to do in Costa Maya and Cozumel... do you have favorites or suggestions?
