  1. I would love to see good old Regal Princess 1 or one of the original Sun Class ships back in San Francisco. They were just the right size and I'd sail them any day. Besides that they have a deeper draft than the Grand Class ships and took to the waters along the California coast much better.

    I'd love that also.

  2. It was the first of the Century class. The former Galaxy and Mercury were slightly larger and longer versions of the same design. The Century is a wonderful ship as were the 2 sisters.

  3. Thanks so much for your updates and pictures! I've never been on a Solstice class ship to compare but the pub looks great to me. Can't wait to try it in December.

  4. Century is my favorite ship. I was on her when she was brand new and again last month. I loved the ship even more the 2nd time and found her to be in great shape. On the first day of the cruise I booked again for August. :)

  5. Wow your review and pictures are awesome!! Thanks so much for taking the time..I realize what a huge effort it must be and I know so many greatly appreciate it. I'm trying to overcome some objections and convince my gf to try the Breeze. I think your review will help her see the light. lol thanks again!

  6. Also wanted to mention that I spent a few hours on the Crown a couple weeks ago and it felt more congested and closed in compared to the Coral. I realize it's not exactly a fair comparison since I haven't taken a cruise on her. Still a pretty ship but didn't seem like the best fit for Alaska. To me the Coral/Island would be perfect. I also loved the Sapphire but unfortunately she's no longer an option to Alaska.

  7. You made a great choice! I've been on the Coral and it's the most spacious and uncrowded ship I've been on with tons of open deck space. I'm hoping to sail on Island someday soon since they share the same design. Hope you have a wonderful cruise.

  8. I would highly recommend the Century. She was the first ship I sailed 18 years ago and I recently returned from a coastal cruise on her. Loved the ship just as much as I did back then, so much so that I booked her again for August. She's a beauty in very good shape. Food, service and entertainment were all fantastic!

  9. I did a Bon Voyage on the Crown this past weekend and it was great. We only had a couple hours onboard because boarding was delayed until 1 but our lunch was fantastic. Ship is very pretty but felt crowded. A couple things surprised me.. the lack of hand sanitizers in public areas and dirty plates everywhere. The vibe was different compared to other Princess ships I've been on but I definitely enjoyed the experience.

  10. I would love to try the Eclipse, but it seems to only do 2-week sailings. Does anybody know if it ever does week-long sailings in the Caribbean or anywhere else?

I recall seeing some shorter sailings on Eclipse beginning in fall of next year.

Unfortunately I've had to cancel every Solstice class ship I've booked in the past but I'm hoping to finally make it on the Equinox in December. :)
