We missed this port once as well. We also missed other ports due to high wind conditions and tendering including Grand Cayman twice and Freeport as well. I hope you made the best out of the situation like we did. I know it's disappointing missing ports, but what to do if mother nature does this to you.

We did the upgrade once when offered a Grand Suite from an Ocean Suite. We paid half price for what they were trying to get on their site. I thought it was a fair price and took it. We do love having the extra space and are in our room for more than just showering and sleeping. :D

I didn't know they had a chocolate one, I will have to get one of these.

Mike, it almost looks as though you can drink from the time you get on the Jolly Pirate. They allow you to drink before you do the snorkeling?:confused:

I see you must have done this tour on your own, but did you see if Carnival was offering it in the tours on board the ship? How was the food and drinks?

I saw you mentioning that you were maybe going to do Dreams resort, was this an excursion from the ship or did you have reservations that you cancelled? We have reservations with a large group and hoping we have no problems getting there when we dock. I heard this can be a problem sometimes.

Anyone find any new places with day passes on Palm Beach lately?

Watch for your change when you go to Amsterdamn Manor, out of a hundred they short changed us $40 on purpose at the bar on food and drinks. I must say they got a very good tip, but we didn't realize this until later. Service was slow and lousy as well. Just a drinker be aware, I guess it was our own fault for being trusting and not counting our change.

We did it was our first cruise in 1990. She was a grand gal and glad we booked our cruise on her instead of the brand new Fantasy. Experiencing cruising on an old ship was the nicest thing ever. All the newer ships just don't have that old charm personality.

We sailed the Mardi Gras in 1990. Our first cruise which got us hooked and now we just completed our milestone (25th) Carnival cruise. I miss the old ship days, they were classics.

Great to be a platinum cruiser, just returned from our 18th Carnival cruise. :)
