We were on the Viking Venus this past January (set sail on the 19th). We didn't have near the amount of daylight as the person who shared all of her info (from when she was there in March) - and our weather was more mild - mainly in the low to mid 30's. If you're on FB - there is a "Viking Cruises Travelers" group that I am a part of. I posted daily about our trip and if you search my name (Michelle Eisenhart) you'll find lots of pictures/info. At the end of our cruise (we also ended in Bergen) - we spent two extra nights there and then took the train from Bergen to Olso and flew out of Oslo back home. The scenery on the train trip was beautiful. We also did a fjord cruise out of Bergen that we loved. We did see the Northern Lights a couple times from the ship and on one of the ships excursions - when we traveled into Sweden.

We are also on this cruise. We'll be spending the night before in London and I've booked our transfer with a company called Twelve Transfers. The cost was 86 pounds.

I didn't even ask, since I've read that the menu changes often and usually isn't available until a few days prior.

I, too, wasn't able to make any reservations (when they opened up) on MVJ but earlier this week I used the "live chat" option on Viking's website and within 5 minutes had reservations at both "The Chef's Table" and "Manfredi's" for days I wanted (both at 7:30). This was for the "Searching for Northern Lights" cruise in January.

We're cruising out of London in January (Searching for Northern Lights) and I wasn't able to book any dining reservations on MVJ but earlier this week I used the live chat on their website and within 5 minutes had reservations at both The Chef's Table and Manfredi's on days I wanted at 7:30.

Thanks for your responses. Sorry about the font - I've always used it (comic sans) and have never had problems before - and it looks completely normal on my computer. I've actually decided to just go ahead and book our own pre-cruise tour and after pricing everything out, even factoring in paying for the deviation fee, it will cost just over half the price of the Oceania tour.

We are booked on the "Iceland and Scotland Adventure" cruise for July 2023. I wanted to add the pre tour in London but it is waitlisted. My TA has put us on the waitlist. My question is - how likely is it that we will we clear the waitlist? I don't have any experience with being on a wait list before. Thanks so much.
