Thanks.  Your experience will be useful as we are boarding at Athens  on 4 June.  it will be interesting to see if this statement does actually mean what it is Implying.  perhaps Azamara boarding rules will override?

Do you know where the Randox testing takes place at Heathrow.  We will be on a connecting flight so would need to be within terminal 5.

Sun loungers are different from the other ships we spent yesterday around the pool and found them very comfortable, didn’t hear any complaints from others either.

There is a new rum on the included package Flor de Caña replaces the Mount Gay.

Also Onward has a new paperless accounting system with orders being done on pda, staff are still learning how it works which is slowing things down a little but I’m sure it’s a temporary blip, otherwise Onward is looking good. Still workmen doing the final touches but the ship has a much more modern feel than the others.

Has the Pool deck been finished yet and are the sun loungers the same as other Azamara ships.

is it possible to use OBC to upgrade when onboard if there is availablility.

I have received an email from Azamara confirming that our cruise starting on 4 June 2022 will be docking at San Basilio pier in Venice when we disembark on11th June. 

:cool: We were that couple from Northern Ireland. Make sure and have English Stirling notes to exchange. We had to withdraw dollars on the ship and get a really bad exchange rate. Quite annoying but we weren't exchanging a ransom! All worth it though.

Some other information here about currency. Neither Cuba nor the ship will exchange Northern Ireland ponds. A couple from Northern Ireland learnt the hard way.

 

In Santiago de Cuba we were trying to change our left over CUCs back into sterling but were only allowed to change it into dollars. In Havana you can get Sterling back.

 

Another point about Santiago is that a couple had bought a picture for 10 CUCs and the port officials charged them 3 CUCs “import duty” when they were having their bags scanned on returning to the ship.

I have been allocated stateroom 6010 for a cruise to Cuba March 2018. Can anyone give me any information about noise from anchor chains etc. Not too concerned about the theatre noise.
