No further test, our minor had one on sea day.

    Thanks!

Regarding Hola Tacos: can you get the beer on the menu (Desperados etc.) and the Frozen Magaritas with the YC/Premium drink package?

I see myself sitting there eating one taco and having a dozen drinks 😜

Thanks again! Looks better than what I thought.

However, no GPS data in the uploaded pictures... any chance pointing out the beach on Google Maps? Your picture library on your phone should be able to do the trick.... sorry for asking, but I am soooo curious 🙂

Hey Markus, seems my question went away with the power that night, so I bring it up again. Thanks.

You are right.we arrived BCN about 15 min late...

Was a strange experience, emergency lights within stateroom only, but music and full light in hallways.

No further noise on ship....nothing....only very little fume and because no ship movement looks like fog around.

Please keep us updated what happened. I expect the sea wasn't rough during the night? Cause this could be an issue that can cause the power shutdown.

Regarding music und full light: remember the Titanic? SCNR 😉

  4. Don't break the ship Markus, I will board in exactly two weeks! 😁

Marine Traffic also showed she docked at about 8AM so I hope everything is okay.

Speed was reduced at 4.30 AM from 16-17knots down to 2-3knots within 1 hour. Then speed increased to almost 22knots which is a good sign.

Internet was fast because at this time, most people sleep so you have it all yourself 🙂

It's about 30 min bus ride to the beach.

There where 2 busses at that location.

    Umbrella and Deckchair provided.

There was a small shop, it was allowed to buy drink and meals.

Beach was small, about 10m but quite wide, sandy on shore, within the water small stones. Total beach time about 2.5 h.

Thank you! Sounds good to me 😀

Do you maybe have the exact location of the beach (maybe through pictures you have taken)?

    Day 3 Messina

We had an "afternoon at the beach" booked.

Our excursions docs showed meeting 9am at topsail....a little bit of surprise

In the end, best decision, very nice time at the beach. At 1pm dark clouds, 1h later thunderstorm....

Hey Markus,  thanks for all the information so far.

Can you give some more details how that beach thing works? I have booked it aswell, will be there in two weaks.

Gerne auch auf deutsch - mich interessiert, wie das mit der Bubble funktioniert am Strand, wie lange die Anfahrt ist und wieviel Zeit man effektiv am Strand hat. Danke!

  8. I completed all the information at the web check-in, including picture. Two green hooks are showing up.

However, when I log into my account it tells me 2 things:

    1. my cruise is not departing within 20 days and therefor the tickets are not issued yet - correct, it is about a month to go

    2. I have not provided all mandatory guest information - not correct, there is nothing missing as it wouldn't let you save the changes

I have bought 2 excursions, but I can't see them under the "already purchased" tab.

BUT I received my tickets yesterday as my travel agent sent them so I guess the 2. information is just a website glitch, same as the "already purchased" as the two excursions are listed in my tickets... glad that I don't have to rely on the MSC website.

PS: it is not only MSC, I had weird things happen on Celebrity's website aswell...

  9. Sehe gerade, alles Deutsche hier - interessant!

Unipac, are you really sure, that no masks are required outdoors? Would be lovely, but I can‘t believe that….

Yes, pretty much. Read some (german) reviews of guests cruising within EU in the last 1-2 weeks on Seaview. It is only RECOMMENDED outdoors when you can't keep social distance - hence the word RECOMMENDED.

So if you want to feel super save while outdoors - wear a FFP2 mask. If you want to enjoy your freedom - go commando 🙃

I don't see any feedback on wearing masks on board.

    Not required at all ?

Not required  in dining and bar venues ?  Casinos ?

    Required indoors ?

    Not required outdoors ?

    Poolside deck chair spacing ?

     Help please

I asked the same question last week and did not get a single reply:

So I just answered myself after more research.

  12. Hi everyone!

I wonder about some certain questions regarding current MSC' rules in Europe, esp. on Seaview and Seashore if that makes any difference.

    1. Are masks required in the gym during exercise?

    2. I read that masks are required outdoors, except when you are at your sunbed. So what if I want to take a dip in the pool, do I have to wear the mask on the way from my sunbed to the pool (even if I am just few steps aways) and if so, where to put the mask then? Or do I have to wear a mask IN the pool?

    3. Thermal/spa area - where do I have to wear the mask?

    4. Leaving the ship - I know only MSC excursions are allowed. But is it possible to just leave the ship at the port area to take pictures of the ship itself?

I didn't find much on this on the MSC website and no current thread here.

    Thanks in advance!

    Ingo

  13. Hi all,

I was on a cruise ship when that whole Covid thing began (March 2020). Almost 15 months later while on a non-cruise vacation I found Anthem anchored just 10 miles away where I stay! First cruise ship „in the wild“ for me since so long! I packed my drone (and my DW) and drove straight to a close point… stunned to see her floating in the water.
What do you think would happen if I jump into the water and swim towards her? 🙂

She has now left and is heading to Souda where Harmony otS just arrived. I hope they will both anchor somewhere around so I can take more pictures…. And maybe try out my swimming idea 😉

  14. So if the (quick) Antigen test is positive, you have a second chance to board at later time by doing the goldstandard PCR test. If this tests negative two times you are allowed to board.

I would be very interested how MSC takes care about this as if both PCR are negative, it's the "fault" of the antigen test provided by MSC that causes you to be not allowed to board. In that case I hope MSC takes care of hotel cost, transportation and partly refund of the cruise fare as you missed some days.
