  1. Why it would matter--because you might have a lot of OBC on one cruise (more than you planned to spend)' date=' but a much lesser amount on the other. Being able to combine them allows you to use up all the non-refundable OBC before you touch the "real money."[/quote']

    Excellent point.

  2. My understanding is that if you are Elite you will receive one automatically. As of yesterday, the Princess website does not show that it is available to order.

We are Platinum and have always received an Atlas as part of our Captain Circle benefits.

  3. Since MAJESTIC PRINCESS was built for and designed specifically for the CHINESE market, and the demographic and interests of that particular market (and not those of 'Westerners'), with features (restaurants and activities) that would be attractive towards that market, what were the poor decisions Princess Cruises made?

    Just curious.

Hi Dave! Great to see you posting again. Hope all has been fine with you. We also agree that the ship was built for the Chinese market.

  4. Hi Nancy!

I sailed in a "sideways" inside on Royal last year. Can I just say it's one of my favorite cabins ever?

One wall is the bed with two night stands on either side. The other wall is a long desk/dresser combo with mirror and the TV.

Behind that are wide, deep shelves plus the normal cabinet with shelves and the safe.

Across from that is the closet, divided into two sections.

We actually had MORE storage space in our inside cabin than my mother had in her balcony.

The bathroom was just the same as the one in her balcony.

    IMHO...sideways cabins rock :)

We have a sideways inside booked on the Royal Princess for November. Always wanted to stay in one of them. Thanks everyone for the feedback and to Pam for the pictures!

  5. Fritz, there appears to be some miscommunication here. The cruise Anna and I are booked on is a 14-day Circle Caribbean on the Caribbean Princess, sailing on March 18. It does not return to FLL at any time between March 18 and the end.

The thread you refer to is just another mess. When the question was asked, there WERE (and still are) true 14-day Caribbean cruises. But the recent posters didn't seem to get the memo that the precept of the thread had been debunked a few posts into it. There ARE true 14-day Caribbean itineraries, and the March 18 Caribbean Princess is one of them.

    Jim

Sorry! I didn't read your post closely, and I didn't realize that the 2018 Caribbean sailings were available.

Princess also has a true 14 day Circle Caribbean October 7, 2017 too. Looking forward to that great itinerary.

  6.

They must be correcting the problem as the Princess web site as of right now is finally working correctly on our computer.

I was able to connect correctly a few moments ago. Yesterday our 2 cruises that are booked was not showing up and I refreshed the same page then our cruises showed up.

  7. Buy more than one at a time. They're good for 2 years, fully refundable if not used and you never know when you'll want to do a B2B :D

Excellent advice.................we always buy extra FCDs during the cruise.
