Well that's tonight's plans sorted, thanks for the top tip!!! There has been some extensive inappropriate behaviour towards a couple of the crew already so we can add James to our list of crimes and misdemeanours. I will provide an update once we've drooled!

Maybe because they double the price bid even if only one person...and the number of complaints... and then again, maybe they are not selling out their studios? I am sure there is some reason.

They just said it was part of their terms and conditions of booking, ah well I do love the studios so it's not that bad ☺

I've emailed Ncl as I haven't had an email, apparently those in studios are excluded from the offer.

Try to find a few others who want to eat later. I went to the meetups in my day clothes, arranged to meet whoever was dining later (we usually agreed to meet at 8pm) and then went to get ready afterwards. This still meant me being indoors earlier than I'd like, but it was a compromise that worked out not too badly. And as you read in my review, there were a couple of nights, I just did my own thing.

 

The taxi fare is a set price of 39 euros... it was worth it imo

Great review! I've been solo a few times with NCL and ive always said the solo meet ups are too early, ideally I'd want to meet about 7 so I can stay out and enjoy the sun and not have to rush to get ready.

Can I ask how much the taxi to the airport was, I'm on the epic in Sept and my flight is mid afternoon. I want to stay on the ship as long as I can so the 0630 disembark doesn't sound appealing.

I've done quite a few private shared excursions and enjoyed them! I've been looking at tours today and the company "can't be missed" look great, they do tours in Rome, Sorrento/Amalfi coast and pisa! well worth a look ☺

I've been going to them since I was in college, 30 years ago. Howl is only one of many chains, and certainly not the best, although maybe the most famous.

as far as I'm aware we don't have anything like that over here. that's why I love it so much on the ships and I really hope it comes to Bliss

Regarding those complaining about the lack of Howl at The Moon... Google it. It's in tons of cities around the country. Go there. Besides, at least on Escape, the piano bar player on The District was actually more fun and less predictable. We had Beau on one cruise and Tom on another, and rarely spent time in HATM because the humor and talent in the other piano bar was much more fun.

Unfortunately it's not in the UK so your suggestion doesn't help me.
