  1. Just curious....did you pay for the cruise?

What if it's not as expected?

    .

Not exactly sure what you mean, I've booked a cruise which means I expect a big ship to be waiting in a port to take me to other places. If it's not there when it's supposed to be then I will complain.

I'm no longer going to be commenting on this matter, it's my decision what I spend my money on and whether I pay the DSC. I do not have to justify my decision to anyone.

  2. Here's a fresh batch, feel free to add yours'.

    46) Dragging the Captain on stage with you to sing the theme from Titanic on karaoke night.

    47) Starting a water balloon fight with the NCL ship across from you in Cozumel.

    48) Because you can't always reach things on the top shelf, you bring your Great Dane "service dog" to help you get your stuff on and off the shelf.

    49) Piling you plate higher than the 12 inch limit in the buffet.

    50) Trying to sing "washy, washy,,,happy, happy" to any Deep Purple song.

    There's a 12 inch limit? Seriously? Brilliant!

  3. I shouldn't imagine $75 is going to affect anyone that much. I just think it's a bit much, the daily service charge, the 18% gratuities, extra tips plus I pay a solo supplement for my cabin.

It mounts up quite a lot, if I can I'd rather know where the money has gone.

  4. Why not leave the DSC alone & give that person a tip? That way you're sure they benefit without adversely impacting them or anyone else.

I don't really agree with it, it's a service charge yet I've not had any service yet. If the service I recieve is good then I'd happily pay but how can i pay for something that may not be as expected?

  5. Hi, does anyone have any suggestions of what I can do between getting off my ship and my flight which isn't til 7.30 in the evening.

I have looked into the cruise lines excursion but this only goes to JFK and la Guardia.

I'm conscious it's a long day with no Base.

    Thanks

  6. Hi,

I did the hop on hop off bus tour, they do a special cruise package whereby they store your luggage for you and you collect it before heading to the airport. I booked this through ncl as there was airport transfers but you can do it independently too.

  7. Hey Hmstims no way would I use the donkeys, I've seen a few videos and I think it's so cruel to have them going up and down all day especially in the heat.

At this moment in time I am inclined to stay onboard on that day as I really don't think I could stomach that height.

  8. Thanks Agabbymama it's nice to know I'm not alone in my fear. I think ncl have a tour to oia but that too ends up at the cable car station. I will ask at the shore excursion desk what I can do when we dock in Santorini. Thanks for the help

  9. Hello,

I am visiting Santorini in June on an NCL Jade cruise. Is anyone aware of any shore excursions that you don't have to use the cable cars for? I am not good with heights and don't think there's anyway i could use the cable car. I have seen you can ride donkeys but I wouldn't do that as I don't think it's fair especially in the heat. Thanks in advance.
