  1. Hello all,

I'm curious about the photo taken when you first board. Does it have to be done or can you just politely keep walking and opt out?

This will be my first solo trip and I'm honestly not sure I want to do it.

    Any advice much appreciated

    Thanks

  2. While I do agree children have just as must right to cruise as adults, I will say it is frustrating when they are not disciplined by their parents or have forgotten their manners .

I try to go with the flow, and am all for everyone doing their own thing, but my concern is when they run through the halls or up/down the stairs with no regard for anyone else's safety.

Other than that, I say live and let live-they're on vacation too:cool:

  3. Hi everyone,

I've cruised several times as a 'couple' in the past and enjoyed all of them very much.

Things have changed and now I'm beginning my journey as a 'solo' cruiser with a trip booked in Jan 2015 and my eye on another one in April. I'm noticing a pattern where they are all with the same cruise line. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing, but since I now have to account for the single supplement it tends to sting a bit more.

My question to all you seasoned solos is this:

Are you loyal to the same cruise line for all your trips, and do you feel its worth it to do so,?

Do you tend to concentrate more on whoever is least expensive?

Or, is the itinerary your main focus?

I'm not sure how I feel about all of this yet and am curious to know what others think.

Any input or advice is much appreciated.

    Thanks

  4. Anyone just LOVE or HATE staying on the ship while docked? We will have our kids, and i have been to cozumel, and only plan to do minimal shopping in Hondoruas. Mainly looking for thoughts of those who stay on the ship.

I love to stay on the ship when its docked/tendered. You can explore all those areas you might not have otherwise had time to see. Get a meal and drinks and not feel like you're in a cattle call, and you get to enjoy the whirlpools and main pool any way you choose. :p

  5. Are you going on a new itinerary? Or maybe a different ship? I'm scheduled to cruise Bermuda for the third time, and this will be my 5th time on the Grandeur. I love doing what I know I have enjoyed in the past, so it won't disappoint, but I also want to keep it fresh and exciting. Maybe familiarity is getting a bit stale...

I'm going on the Majesty out of Miami in Jan 2015. First time for the ship, first time for the port and most importantly first time as a solo cruiser.

Can't wait to see how it all plays out:eek:.

  6. Last year we went on Allure Eastern. This year we went on Oasis Western.

We loved both cruises. These 2 cruises were with our kids.

Our next cruise will be just hubby and me. I have 2 cruises booked in 2016 and I know we will not go on both so close together and I need to choose which one to keep. I'm not sure about 2015 right now.

So I have these 2 booked. Which would you pick and why?

Thank you for helping me :)

Not sure where you live but the end of February may still be cold and snowy. For me personally I would pick the February trip for just the mental aspect of getting away from the cold and into the sun :)

  7. Hi all,

I'm thinking of taking a short 3 day trip from Miami on the Sky and was wondering if anyone happened to have a copy, or knew where I could find one for the Daily info magazine they leave in your stateroom?

I usually said with RC so I guess you could call me a NCL newbie:D

    Any help greatly appreciated..

  8. Hello all,

Has anyone ever taken a chance and booked a guaranteed cabin on Norwegian? I found a great rate on an inside and an oceanview cabin for a quick 3 day get away on Halloween and was curious what your experiences were.

Any input, good and bad greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

  9. I just booked my first 3 day solo trip on RC and when I posted on here I forgot to ask about the points. Will I get double the points for cruising solo even though its just a short trip?

    Thanks
