If you're flying Air Canada to San Juan between now and mid December, passengers are reporting flight cancellations. Some have been notified, others have not. They are trying to accommodate people on other flights, or offering refunds. There were no alternative flights that worked for us and they could not accommodate us, so we took the refund and rebooked on another airline.

Thanks for posting this as I wasn't notified , I was able to get TA to verify and they had Delta come up with an alternate flight, times are not as good but we have a flight and no additional charges.

I agree with numersguy, you should get the double points from what I remember reading when the changes came about.

Also I see that a lot of cruises show up in the latitudes rewards newsletter giving you double points for booking cruises listed there.

I can appreciate everyone's frustration, but put yourself on the other side and think of all the logistics required to change itineraries determine what the status of ports will be in a month and still be pleasant when you are getting hundreds of calls daily.

We are booked on the dawn for the Dec 17th sailing so any info will be helpful as first time on the Dawn and out of San Juan. Any recommendations on places to stay will be a help.

Just want to let Chief Cruiser know that our last trip on the Epic we were a party of eight and I went to the booking desk the second day and was able to get a couple of reservations within a half hour of the time we wanted for the resteraunts we wanted. I am quite sure if you talk to them and explain you will have no problem as they do try and accommodate

Thanks for your review and I agree with a lot of your comments. This will be our first time out of Canaveral and I am currently looking for a place to stay in the area that includes a shuttle. If you could give me the location of the Country Inn I would like to check it out.

Kim, really love your review and pictures it is just like being on the cruise with you. We have been on the Epic twice and I know I have missed some of the areas, your pictures have helped me to put some of these spots on our Feb cruise. Can't wait to read the rest of it.

Have done mid-ship twice on the Epic and found it Ok, depending where I wanted to go determined which elevator I would take. Our next cruise trying a forward cabin, want to see if there is any difference in motion of the ship.

Last trip on the Epic Oct/15 I had lamb in Cagney's can't remember any fried oysters

a couple answers to some questions in the posts. Booked on the Feb 19 Jade and I did register with sixthman just to stay informed. Unless they are selling to previous cruisers I have not been notified about tickets available. For the question regarding flights, last year our Epic cruise was pushed out one week because of a delay in dry dock. For anyone that had booked flights already they were willing to pay the difference between what was booked and new booking if I recall. Didn`t apply to us as flights hadn`t been booked yet.

thanks everyone for the reassurance on keeping our perks, word has it that sixthman cruise will start selling their sailing either late May or early June so chances are we will not hear before July. hate this waiting game

Thank you for the great review of the Jade and it's ports, I am so impressed. Wondering if you can help me, we are going to be bumped from our planned Jade cruise next Feb because of it being used for charters while the Pearl is in dry dock. Wondering if you had a choice between the Epic, Getaway or Escape which would you pick. Would like to stay with NCL but might have to pick a different cruise line.

really disappointed to find out that sixthman is advertising for the Jade Feb 19 - 26 as was looking forward to that itinerary on a smaller ship. The other good point was leaving from Tampa as was planning on staying in Orlando the week before. Oh well back to the drawing board to find another suitable cruise.

Yes was told by NCL that if they have the charter they would cancel our booking - let's wait and see what they offer us for the inconvenience
