  1. @FromSea2ShiningSea Helen your photos are spectacular. Like aussilozzieโ€™s of Australia, this is a part of the world weโ€™re unlike to ever see in person so Iโ€™m really enjoying the virtual visit. Iโ€™m hankering for a trip somewhere. Unfortunately we have nothing until Hawaii in September. Once the new baby comes in May, we could potentially do something over the summer but Iโ€™m not crazy about traveling then. RI has so much to enjoy during that time, plus all the travel spots are beyond crowded.
  2. @dani negreanu @Sunshine3601 @BonTexasNY - glad you are all either on the mend, improving or fully healed. I was at the grocery store this morning when the EQ struck. Didnโ€™t feel a thing, no groceries fell off the shelves and no other shoppers seemed to notice anything. All three of my daughters (RI, Mass and PA) say they felt it. Andy is headed to Las Vegas Sunday with his best friend, he returns Wednesday. Ali is currently in the air headed to WDW to meet up with Cristina (yes, itโ€™s a sickness with our family LOL). Cristina has a work conference there; Ali couldnโ€™t pass up the chance for a โ€œfree hotelโ€ and both have annual passes so according to their โ€œgirl mathโ€, this is a free trip ๐Ÿ˜. Poor pregnant Jess has to miss out. She was not happy to learn today that baby boy is in a breech position. Still 7 weeks to go so he could still turn. This handsome guy, Aliโ€™s dog Oscar, is hanging out with me until Wednesday.
  3. Happy Thread-iversary everyone! And a very special thank you to @dani negreanu Dani for deciding to clean out her refrigerator that day.
  4. Happy Easter to all here who celebrate! Finally sitting down after the family has left and while Andy handles cleanup duty. It was warm enough ( barely) for Abby & Ellie to hunt Easter eggs outside. Dinner was glazed spiral ham, mashed potatoes, carrots and roasted asparagus with Andyโ€™s famous carrot cake for dessert. I tried a new appetizer today, Greek olive medley baked in olive oil with garlic & rosemary. When it comes out of the oven, I nestled in some burrata cheese to get melty and served it with toasted baguette slices. It was a definite hit. No food pictures - I always forget as Iโ€™m trying to get everything served. @Luckynana Maryann, I meant to say this the other day. Iโ€™m so sorry about your dear friend Lois. Thankfully you have many wonderful memories. We recently finished The Gentlemen which was great and are currently watching Bodies on Netflix. Itโ€™s interesting but not really what I expected, specifically the almost Sci-Fi aspect. We only have a couple more episodes so weโ€™ll be on the hunt for something new to watch. Maybe something a little more lighthearted after those two lol. It might be time to rewatch Schittโ€™s Creek.
  5. Thatโ€™s awful Dani. Rest and hydrate! Oooooh, will you share with us??? Ah, the sacrifices we make for our grandchildren ๐Ÿ˜‰!
  6. Both are wonderfully creative! Like most others, I prefer the first one because itโ€™s easier to see the โ€˜hooksโ€™.
  7. @FromSea2ShiningSea safe travels Helen & Marty! What a fabulous trip. I hope you have a wonderful time and look forward to whatever youโ€™re able to share with us. @Ozark_Kid Happy Belated Birthday ๐ŸŽ‚!
  8. Such cute cookies! Theyโ€™re sure to disappear in no time with a bunch of young boys. Weโ€™re going to dinner tonight with friends to a Peruvian restaurant. The cats & dogs are pouring down here too but itโ€™s also bitterly cold. At least I donโ€™t have to carry any food or wine though!
  9. Agree with this 100% Dani. Andy doesnโ€™t drink but he does love his soda, specialty coffees and a mocktail or two which the classic pkg allows him. Our Usual TAโ€™s group rate also includes a refundable deposit. Itโ€™s definitely worth comparing the two options.
  10. For those of you talking about Southwest airfares: I get those $49 emails all the time and have never found a $49 flight ๐Ÿ˜
  11. Itโ€™s very subjective, but we enjoyed the infinite veranda. The room felt much more spacious and airy than a typical balcony cabin. We were in the Med and it was pretty warm but I donโ€™t remember either of us having an issue with the AC being off for a bit while the window was down. A few pictures below, this was on Edge. 12. Yes we were on Edge last September. Not specific to that class but our preference on any ship is usually between decks 8-10 and we like to be anywhere from mid-ship towards the aft, not too far from the stairs. The only thing I would avoid in an Edge class is being near where the Magic Carpet goes up and down. I have no factual basis, just seems like it could be noisy and might at times be an obstruction?
  13. I went ahead and had Ken book us too. Such a great itinerary. Greg, you are a bad influence! I hope Captain Tom can accommodate us for JVD!
