  1. quick question for those that stayed at EMBASSY SUITES--we booked there for next month (we are big embassy fans, especially with two teenage boys!) anyway I was wondering if there is a hotel subtle from the Airport to the hotel or do we have to cab it? and if so is it far or how much roughly was it?

    thanks for the help!

The hotel does offer a shuttle, but you do have to pay for it. The Embassy is super close to the airport, so we have always taken a cab. The cab was 15 plus tip for 2 people. There were a ton of cabs waiting to take you right away. I hate waiting for a shuttle.

They also offer a shuttle to the port for 7/8 a person. We love the Embassy. Ask for a room on the east side of the building. You can see the ships in the morning before you head to the port.

  2. Thank you for your help!!!

We decided on Alaska late August '13 and realized all of the good cabins were taken, so instead this summer we are doing the southern Caribbean out of San Juan June '14.

As soon as they release summer '15 Alaska, we will be jumping on it. I have seen it is usually in March. Do they announce it or do they just appear?

  3. It is like shopping at a regular Coach store you would find in the mall, not an Outlet Coach. It is a pretty small store with limited selections. They do have some items that are exclusive to that store, meaning you can only get it at that store.

They did have a sale, but it was not enough of a sale for me to purchase anything.

IMHO you are better off shopping on land.

  4. We always pre book for a few reasons. First you ensure that you get the excursion that you want. The most popular ones may be booked up when you get on the ship. The second reason are the lines to book on board. When I get on board, I want to eat, drink, and hit the pool, not stand in a line for hours hoping to book the excursion. I have heard that you can book them using your tv, but I have never tried it.
