I took my nieces on about 4 cruises while they were young. (We have different last names)  I had the passports, letters notarized...  not once did they ever ask me for it!  But definitely bring everything! 

I always picture those two little girls from The Shining standing at the end of the hallway when I'm in a hotel.  Now I'll picture them on the ship!     lol

I wish I never opened this thread!    I hope I forget about this by the time my cruise comes!  

I love having a Promenade!  Just to sit and have a coffee and people watch!  

I have been on both ships and I really liked the Oasis better.   I just booked the Oasis for May 2020 when I found out it was coming to NJ. (close to me)  Whereas I was never in any rush to book the Anthem in NJ again. 

Both ships are beautiful but I just liked the Oasis better.

I feel sorry for the sick passenger and I hope he/she is doing better. 

I also feel bad for everyone on this cruise who is missing a couple days worth of cruising.  I was going to book this exact cruise!  I asked my husband what we would have done and he said he would've canceled but I think that I still would have wanted to go. (We can drive from CT to NJ, no air involved)  

The Anthem is a beautiful ship and Bermuda is a beautiful island and I hope everyone on board enjoys their cruise and enjoys Bermuda.  Looking forward to reading updates on the mood, how full the ship is, etc...  Have a great cruise!

Can't you take a water taxi near the Straw Market to Paradise Island and then walk to Cabbage Beach?  I'm trying to remember how we got there on our last Bahama cruise!    Then I remember coming back all the taxis/buses were lined up right outside of the path from the beach to go back to the ship.

What time were you in line for the self debark?

If you are standing on Horseshoe Bay Beach with the water in front of you... way to the left there were rocks. If you walk that way... can you cut through those rocks to another beach? This will be our fifth time there and we've never walked that way before. We're on a cruise next week and would like to walk down that way if it's worth checking out. Thanks.

If you chose self-disembark, what time were you off the Anthem by?

This happened to us on our Oasis cruise. I couldn't get into my cruise reservation and I called my TA and he found out that RC cancelled our cruise right after final payment due date because they said I still owed $37 so I was past due!! :eek: Then I checked my cc statement and there was the whole amount for the cruise credited back to my card!! Thing is that I called our TA to make final payment and I paid on my cc what I was told I owed.

He was able to get the cabin reservation back but we lost all our dining reservations I had made and they wouldn't help get them back. So we lost out on times that we had wanted. I had to rebook them all and some were no longer available. That made me mad. And they said they would have chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of wine in the cabin for us to make up for it and we never got anything.

I'm just glad I checked it out early enough to get our reservation back!

A few years back in Bermuda, I rented a scooter for the first time alone. Usually, my husband drives and I sit on the back. To this day, when I think about that scooter I get stomach sick. I nearly crashed. I honestly think an angel saved me, because I was going straight into a bus head-on. I even closed my eyes for the impact!!! Next thing I knew I was on the side of the road...safe but beyond scared.

We returned the scooters...we still had a ways to go and I was so scared but I managed. Never ever ever again!! Never.

We were at a bar at a Casino recently and a couple left the bar and another couple sat down and started to eat the peanuts/pretzels the first couple left behind. It happens everywhere... not only on a cruise ship!

Any ship can run into noro or weather problems. Just that the Anthem is getting them one after another it seems! No one can tell you whether or not to cancel; only you can make that decision.

We are on this ship in June and I don't plan on canceling. We can't wait!
