my flight is at 1:20pm so I guess I don't have to worry!

My husb is a police officer and our up-coming cruise will be our third with the policemen discount. If it wasn't for the discount on the Oasis cruise, we wouldn't be going. Oh, we are from CT and have gotten the state discount also.

My final payment was due yesterday :eek: And I didn't know about it cuz we were off from work because of the snowstorm and my TA called my desk phone.

So I called him back this a.m. and gave him my cc info and he said "I hope they didn't cancel your reservation yet" :eek: Well, he emailed me that they DID cancel it but he got it back and they also canceled my 8:30 dinner!!! He said I had to go back to MTD!!! Well luckily, he emailed me again not too long ago saying he got the 8:30 pm seating back. :p

So, just saying not to mess around when they want their final payment! Next time I'll ask for the final payment date!! ;)

Hi. So to bring wine on board best way is to pack it in your carry-on and not in your checked luggage?

Do you wrap it up in like bubblewrap or something or does it need to be unwrapped so they can make sure its a bottle of wine?

Do you have to ask to be dropped off at Orange Fever or does the taxi just drop you off at a certain location & you walk until you find it?

I booked 3 specialty restaurants on my up-coming Oasis cruise (one on the first night too) and when I posted about the discount on my roll call page, someone replied that the discounts only applied if they were doing the Dynamic Dining... which they are not doing now. So, I'm not sure if I'll get a discount or not! ????

Having been to Nassau a few times now, we are just going to head over to Senior Frogs and hang out due to the hours we are there. If I wanted to visit a beach or something, I would book an excursion through the ship... just to be sure the ship waits for me! :eek: But that's just me!

Oh, you can also WALK over to Junkanoo Beach from the ship. You can find a lot of posts to read about it.

Oh no! :eek: Yeah, I'd be kinda upset too if I got that message!

I'm sure they'll do a great job sanitizing the ship; they certainly don't want an outbreak. Take the extra precautions as others mentioned and hope for the best!

So... 3 free drinks (listed on that menu) per evening during set evening hours at any bar on the ship PLUS as many free drinks as you want in the Diamond Lounge during that same time frame. That's a lot of free drinks each evening! :eek:

We just turned Diamond so curious to try it out on Oasis!

Ugh. That stinks. I guess I'll just keep saving up for something else or I'll use them in Vegas. I saved about $200 on our Vegas trip last year.

Hi. So you can't use the rewards points for a cruise that is already booked? I have almost 300,000 rewards points and was going to use them towards an on-board credit on my up-coming cruise. :confused:

Just wondering if anyone can answer my question about getting to and from Sapphire Beach from the Oasis! Are there taxis waiting when you get off the ship that will take you there? Dont mind taking one of those vans/taxis that they fill up. And once there, how about getting back to the ship?

Thanks for the update. Orient Beach seems to be getting better and better. We'll be there for the first time in April! :D

I forgot my make-up case too! I only had some stuff that I keep in my purse that i rarely use. On various cruises, I've left my deoderant at home, toothpaste, left my sunglasses in the car at the cruise parking lot, forgot my migraine pills - nearly giving myself a migraine worrying about getting one. DH packed his suit, but no shirt or tie, no Advil... had to buy some in Key West for about $15! Forgot my envelope filled with various $ bills I'd saved throughout the year to use at the ports on drinks and stuff.

We got married in Las Vegas and the morning of our wedding I realized I left my slip at home. My dress was practically see through without it. DH was like...'who cares...it's Vegas! :eek:

centurycruiser - a couple times that we have been docked in Nassau, there was a ship like you described - not sure if it was the same one - but just a very "odd" looking ship... it was painted blue and I never could see a name on it anywhere. No balconies or that many portholes. Anyway... someone said that this ship does a one or two night cruise to Nassau from FL really cheap and it's popular with FL residents who want to go over to Nassau for a day/night.

It was really strange and creepy looking though. :eek:

Sat1. You don't have to tip in Sabor, but you can if you want. We always tip in the speciality restautants even though the gratuitues are already pre-paid.

Thanks for the wonderful review! We will be on the Oasis for the first time in April, although a different itinerary! I love seeing the pictures of the ship!!

We are now diamond members... this Diamond lounge... we can just pop in for free drinks and apps?? Or do you bring an invitation with you that is left for you in cabin?
