We're in the same boat. We upgraded to the Premiere before the plan was changed to the 'New' package.  The correct information is on my booking summary and on the website listed under Onboard Services, but the app has some correct and some wrong.  The MedallionNet is correct indicating 4 devices and Dine My Way says there's a dining credit.  But when I go to the Packages tab it says we have the Plus plan (single wifi, plus beverage package, crew appreciation) and Prizes say we're not enrolled.

    Any advice?

Same here, upgraded before the changes, website shows Premier and I was able to book specialty dining using the dining credits on the app but on the 'packages' section in the app it shows Plus. I'm not going to worry about it until we are onboard, hopefully it will resolve itself or I'll go to guest services with my printed summary.

Princess agent has always met us in the baggage area when arriving a couple days early if we have their package. Generally only ones so they put us in a taxi. Same thing happened when we stay a couple days after. Last time we had an early light and Princess off a taxi voucher for us at the desk when we checked out they had a taxi waiting as well.

I realize it cost more (sometimes a lot more) but when I am lucky enough to travel I like everything all bundled up for me. I get that with Princess, guess we have been lucky so far.

    Thank you!

We stayed at a Princess hotel pre-cruise in Rome in November 2022.  Nice place, directly across from the train/subway/bus station.  Yes it included transfers.  Best Western Premier Hotel Royal Santina

Hi, we are booked here in June through Princess. Our first time booking everything as a package and our first Princess cruise. If you don't mind, I have some questions?

We are arriving 2 days before our cruise. Is there someone at the airport to meet you/direct you to your transfer?

What time did you arrive at port on embarkation day?

On disembarkation, do Princess automatically allocate you a time for your transfer or is it something to chase up?

    Thank you 🙂

In  2019, we took Princess post Rome excursion (Debark tour - St Peter’s Basilica & Colosseum) with a drop off at either the train or airport. Picked up our luggage after exiting the ship, walked to the bus.  The guide talked along the way to Rome.  Bus parked near St Peter’ Basilica, guide walked with us then we had time on our own, walked back to the bus, bus drove past other sights.  Some people were dropped off at the train station.  I were dropped off at the airport mid afternoon.  We walked through the airport to the Hilton Rome Airport (attached to the airport with a walkway to the hotel).  Next day, walked back to the airport for our flight in the morning.

We are looking at that tour for a September cruise. Our flight is at 4:45pm but the description of the tour says for flights 5pm and after, I don't know if it's worth the risk! I would just get a transfer straight to the airport as we have visited Rome previously and also have a few nights there before a cruise in June but it would make for a long day in the airport. I might look at some of the private options but as there's only 2 of us it might be too expensive.

That’s what we’re looking at for our November TA… did you have a balcony? I’m thinking about the upgrade … but also want to sleep! We’ll be there 4 nights.

We've stayed at Hotel Continental twice and are booked again for September. The first time we stayed, the La Rambla balcony rooms were booked out so we had a balcony overlooking the back terrace. It was quiet at all times, really nice.

The last time we booked the front balcony rooms, we enjoyed sitting out people watching etc but when you lock the balcony door there was very little, if any noise. We have booked the La Rambla balcony rooms again. The location of this hotel is perfect, I love the quirkiness, even if a little dated and the staff are fantastic.

  6. We are also due in DR, Jan 9th on Escape. Two Carnival ships are listed on the Amber Cove port schedule so if we can't dock at Taino Bay?? We have an NCL excursion booked. I did chose this particular cruise because of DR. I wouldn't be terribly disappointed if it was missed but I would be annoyed if we are only told about a change when we get onboard when this can be foreseen by anyone at this early stage.

We are also due to go to GSC and we all know how that goes. So if we have two extra sea days, our only ports will be St Thomas (nice) and Tortola leaving at 1pm!! I think the alternative ports for missing DR seems to be San Juan or Nassau? We have been to both, I wouldn't be disappointed to visit again but I would like some prior notification so we could plan our day.

No we have not upgraded anything yet for the Escape, only our Prima cruise as I am not paying the $1159 for premium plus alcohol - I have always had unlimited wifi with streaming on all our other NCL cruises, and we are Sapphire so plenty of cruises, all on "away classes"

Might be best to give NCL a call and see what they can sort out for you.

  8. We got 150 mins pp and it would normally be enough for the few mins check in online each day but on our January cruise I need to be contactable so I upgraded just my Wi-Fi to unlimited. I assumed DH would still keep his 150 mins but I read that somebody onboard right now upgraded one person in the room but the other person lost the 150 mins also. Anybody have info on this, if that's correct?

  9. We are sailing on the Escape in January. Up to a while ago My NCL showed the upgrade you mention; drinks/wifi/extra dining/extra shore ex for €315 pp (EU booking). I have since upgraded just the wifi and now that previous offer doesn't show. Did you upgrade any other element on it's own? I wonder if it's like when you book an excursion in a certain port, after that, only the excursion you chose shows as available and nothing else?

  10. After disembarking our August cruise we did a half day tour that dropped us off at the airport and we were able to use our excursion credit for that. Had we booked just the transfer we wouldn't have been able to use it. It might be worth checking out a disembarking tour if you have enough time before your flight. It actually worked out cheaper for us than transfers but our flight wasn't until early evening.

  11. I'm so sorry your son dropped out. My kids are that age too where it's a gamble (bingo - lol) if they will actually come a trip with us, that they've committed to.

Collecting your mom's scooter at the terminal sounds better than waiting to have it delivered onboard.

If your mom is allowed pack in a month, I'm starting in 5 weeks as I'm the sailing after you. I'd love to start now but OH would think I've lost the plot. I'm trying to make excuses that work is so busy in December and with trying to organise Christmas I won't have time!

    Thanks for the update 🙂

I don't have the menu but I can say the food at Shanghai was terrible. We didn't eat at the noodle bar--we were in the main dining room. It was so bad that we ended up going up to the buffet after dinner so we could actually eat. The only meal we didn't enjoy out of a 7 night cruise.

We were on the Epic in August and thought the exact same; the only meal we didn't enjoy.

Your clamshell reservation(s) will serve tender tickets to be among the first or second group to go ashore, each double-decker boat can take up to 400 passengers ... you will get instructions or info on where to meet and what time.

There are hundreds, if not thousands of them near the beach and not far from the tender pier, pick the ones you like & the shore team will open them & set it up for you as needed.  The vented ones are better to allow for air circulation under the hot sun & strong UV lights, bring your high SPF tan protection products & beach sandals to walk on top of the hot sand.

Thanks for the info and the photos. Can you go straight to the clamshells when you get to the island or do you need to check in at the rental desk (or another area)?
