  1. Thanks for the info. We are thinking of taking a taxi to Magens Bay in January but I'm not sure how long we will stay. Do you need to arrange and pay for your return trip when you are being dropped off or will there be taxi's readily available throughout the day to take you back to the ship/port?

  2. Hi, we have a package booked including this hotel and transfers for next June. We also have an early arrival at the airport. My TA says that it will most likely be a private transfer/driver from the airport to the hotel.

I would be interested to hear how it worked out for you after your cruise and also the transfer from the hotel to the port, what time the bus picks up at the hotel etc.

    Enjoy your cruise!

  3. We were on the Epic a few weeks ago. It was booked as an alternative to a cancelled Baltic cruise. After reading similar reviews, and with Spice H2o being closed we weren't expecting a whole lot from our trip but we had a fantastic time. The bathroom set up worked for us (mom & 2 DD's 23&19). We enjoyed all our meals, shows, activities etc. We had a full capacity sailing and even with Spice closed we never had issues getting chairs by the pool, even in the shade.

I would gladly sail the Epic again.

As soon as you embark, go to The Social on Deck 6 Mid-Ship to book entertainment. There will be sheets with all bookable shows. Easier than trying to figure it out on the touchscreens. You can also book go karts and laser tag and Canvas by U.

Then go across the hall to Teppanyaki Deck 6 Mid-Ship to book/change dining around the shows you just booked.

Great info, do you know where to go to book entertainment and dining on the Escape after boarding?

Cruise Mom-we leave in 3 weeks, and I don't see anything listed for the Spiegel Tent.  Is this something we need reservations for, and if so, do we get them when we are onboard?  Thanks! Kathy

We needed to make reservations for Bamboozled, we did this at the Epic box office when we boarded, along with Burn the Floor and Priscilla.

You didn't need to book for the aerial show. We did plan to see this, I had read good reviews about it. It's called Duo Quintessence but the first two shows clashed with dining and our packing up ran over on our last night so didn't make it.

  6. We are arriving at MCO after 10pm for our next cruise. We are staying in Cocoa Beach for a few days before so we don't want to stay at the airport that night. I tried Cortrans and Cruise Control for a transfer but neither operate a private transfer that late. I tried Cocoa Beach Shuttle and Happy Hour Shuttle, both were a similar price so I have booked with Happy Hour, they get good reviews and you pay at the time of your ride so I am happy with that. If they fail to show up, we'll figure out an Uber or Lyft.

I also tried Mears but their quote was about double of all the above mentioned companies!

  7. Spice has been closed for a few weeks now, I am following a few groups on SM. We are sailing July 31st and received this letter a couple of weeks ago. I am not particularly happy that it's closed but I'm not mad or upset, I'm just happy to be cruising.

I think the glow party etc is on the pool deck now. They have a sign at Spice H2o advising that one side of deck 18 FWD sundeck is 18+.

  8. Hi, just checked in for our upcoming cruise so it's starting to get real now 😀 We have both refundable and non-refundable OBC. All of it is showing in my name (lead passenger). Does this mean only items purchased with my sail card can use the OBC or can the other 2 passengers in the cabin utilize it also?

    TIA

  9. We are 8 weeks out from sailing on the Epic, we booked two cabins close to each other. I was on 'my ncl' over a week ago and noticed the cabin number was different so checked our other booking/cabin. They moved us to two different decks, one forward and one aft. I couldn't leave our cabins as they were so I had to pay to 'upgrade' one cabin so we could be close. The original cabin booked had an angled balcony so personally I feel I've downgraded.

I still haven't got an explanation and I am waiting for my PCC to get back to me to see if anything can be done.

As far as I know, it's just for the initial booking.  I've never had anyone really try to upsell anything which would lead me to believe that they get paid for the booking, not a % of the invoice.

    Good to know, thanks!
