You should be able to sit together, but since your party is so large, I would make advance reservations if possible to minimize wait time.
Thank you for the advise.

on the Indy for nine people for Jan 2 through the 7th. If I book "my time dining" for all of us will it be difficult to all sit together for dinner?
Thank you.

Love those pictures Terry! I'm taking a serious look at the Celebrity Summit out of San Juan on Feb 6th or the Celebrity Silhouette on the 7th out of Fort Lauderdale.

I really appreciate the feedback and sorry for the delay but I had to go out of town for a few days. It sounds like X has the better food and that is a big plus for me. Hanging by the pools is important for both of us and my wife is a fitness and spa buff so she has enjoyed that aspect of RC. I would assume that X is very comparable in that area.
Also, I have booked our last few cruises through a RC Cruise Vacation Planner and have been contacted by the X Cruise Vacation Planner after making an inquiry. Is this the best way to book? Is there a better incentive to book elsewhere?
Oops and I forgot to mention that we love to snorkel and enjoying taking trips off the boat that are not part of the ship excursions so any tips in that area would be appreciated.
Thank you and yes GO BUCKS! :)

Thank you all for the feedback. What a great forum this is. I look forward to reviewing this thread when I get home later this evening and soaking up all of the info and asking a few more questions.
Thanks again.

cruise line for the first time. We have been on four cruises with our kids and three of those have been with RC. We have enjoyed every minute of every cruise with RC but from what I have read Celebrity might be the way to go if it's just the wife and I cruising. Is this true? Also, all of our cruises have been in April and we are thinking about Feb. this time. Is Feb a good month for price and weather for a Caribbean cruise? Any other suggestions or comments?
Thank you.

I have enjoyed "my time dining" on our last few cruises, but we have always cruised with a group (12-30) people. On this cruise, we leave Monday on Liberty, it will just be my wife and I and I'm curious if there are tables for just two people.
Not trying to be unsociable, as the wife is a social butterfly, but it would be nice to have the option.

Thank you for the info.

Don't believe so. Drinks can only be obtained from RCCL bars and the excursions are typically run by independent contractors.
Are their RCCL bars on Labadee? I assume there are for those that just want to get off the boat and hang out at the beach.

If you give them cash, it goes in their own pocket. If you put a tip on the receipt, it gets divided up.
I didn't think you got a receipt with the drink package orders. Why would they. You didn't pay for it. The only purpose could be the tip line... Ah, never mind.
I was wondering if it gets divided up so thanks for the info and yes I did receive a receipt to sign and also, of course, for the reason you mentioned.
I will be leaving on Liberty in a few days so I will soon find out if this policy has changed.

I got the package on our last cruise and I know that tip is included, but when a server or bartender took could care of us I would leave an extra tip on the receipt. Does that tip go to the person you intended it for? Is giving cash a better way?
Thanks.

Good advice chick.

in a week and have a question regarding the drink package. I called RCI with this question and they said the wait time was greater than 30 minutes, so I thought that I would try here.
This is a five day cruise and one of the two stops is Labadee. Since this is a private stop for RCI are the drinks you have off the ship included in the package?
Also, I can't remember the cost of drinks while on the ship, so if I have a Bloody Mary (or two) in the morning, three or four beers sitting around the pool in the afternoon and then a couple of glasses of fine wine at night is the package worth it?
Now that I just read what I wrote I will also get help for my drinking problem when I get home:p

I booked two tickets out of Columbus on US Air for a total of $660. Really appreciate all the helpful replies. Now we just need to see if our bathing suits still fit. . . It's been a long winter!:)

I really appreciate the feedback. Thank you so much.

That leaves out of Fort Lauderdale on April 7th. I live in SW Michigan and can not believe the prices for flights out of Chi and Det! Any suggestions on airlines or flights that leave from cities in a 5 hour driving radius like Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburg, Columbus. . .?
Do I fly into Miami or Fort Lauderdale? And how close is the Port?
I hope this is in the right section and thanks for any info.

5th thru the 12th and thinking about booking a last minute cruise. We prefer a 4 or 5 day cruise to the Caribbean. Any tips on how to do this? Can you wait until the last week to book a cruise like this? We have been on three 7 day cruises before but they have all been booked 4-5 months in advance. Thanks.

I contacted Eduardo today regarding hiring a driver for the day and he got back to me within minutes. Our driver for my family of 12 will be Manuel. We are going on a 5 hour tour and snorkeling will be on the agenda for sure. Any suggestions?
Also, I appreciate the info I was able to get from this board to make the plans for our day in Cozumel.
I'm going to book a cruise today
in Royal Caribbean International

Now that is funny!! I would say that most of the time it's firm except for when we are arguing about who the starting QB should be.:)
