  1. Hi first time on this forum. We have just booked an aft cabin on Azura C752 because a lot of reviews say it is quiet at the back. However we have found out our cabin is next to a crew staircase. Has anyone stayed in this cabin and if so have you experienced any noise from the staircase either by the crew using it or the door banging. The reason I am asking is because we were on the Ventura last year in the middle of the ship and it was very noisy with door slammers and we are looking for a quiet cabin this time. Any advice would be welcome.

Has someone told you it's a crew staircase? I know there are crew stairs on Oceana as we were next to them but didn't hear any noise. We have B756 so I wonder if will will be next to it also.

  2. Our Friends got married on Azura Christmas/New Year Cruise 2010 ( I was Bridesmaid & Husband Bestman) and OHHHHH what a Fabulous Day from start to finish - we had seen many many weddings onboard ships over the years but never been part of one - everything was so Professionally done - Flowers, Service, Photographers, Meal (we had this in SEVENTEEN (Speciality Restaurant) the whole Day was just absolutely FAB

We Love AZURA and are going on her again this year and have booked up for a month next Christmas/New Year - you will not be disappointed:):)

    Hi Yarmanid,

Is that Xmas 2016, if so we will also be that one for the month. :)

  3. Looks like won't be long now before she leaves, as the life boats are all back on now

Still no water in the dock as yet so will be a couple of hours at least, the water will be visible first. With Aurora they then put 3 tugs at the stern. Then it was imminent. :)

  4. Azura took 34 hours to get to Hamburg but allowing for time differences she may leave lunch time or early afternoon on Thursday.

Anthem of the Seas is just south of Isle of Wight and it's taken her 28 hours to get from Bremerhaven. Hamburg is a little further away but they travel the River Elbe slowly. Once on open seas they will probably open her up more so than they do when cruising with passengers.

It will give P&O time to check the ship and be sure she is ready for passengers rather than be like Aurora at Christmas with many teething issues.

  5. She docks at 23.30 on Friday.i am sure it took less than 24 hours to get to Hamburg so probably leave Thursday

It took her about 30 hours to get to Hamburg, so will probably leave there around Thursday tea time.

  6. I know I'm sad but I found this video on YouTube as I like to see if any new Azura footage! I'm not too good with technical stuff so hope this link works, it's a few minutes of Azura in her dry dock this week, with the workers in hard hats on the deck [emoji3]

Thank you, Going to have another look through it. Funnel all blue now.:)

  7. Thanks for posing this question.

We are looking at Azura at the moment and as we want 2 balcony cabins next to each other I have been doing some research.

I noticed that some have an obstruction of a large girder panel. On photos it takes up some space but I wondered if it impacts on anything. Ie access to the door, if it's possible to put a chair on the balcony in front of the panel. We hadn't realised they were so noticeable.

Been on the aft of Oceana, wonderful cabin and sitting watching the wake is special for me ever since. Only noise was heard on manoeuvring into berths as others have said.

  8. Just booked tours of St Petersberg with Alla-tours, for visit on the new P&O ship Brittannia, in June

    Hi Lakeswest,

We are also on this cruise,

we have a very active Roll Call on here. B509 BALTIC come over and have a look. A lot of us are doing KarenP's Bespoke Faberge 2 day tour with Alla.

Meets Greet details are also on as are other destinations. :)

  9. Thanks PopsiB for the link, I used it on the thread ive just started for webcams at Southampton, but I couldn't remember your name at the time!

Thanks for putting into webcams, it's used for all the Carnival ships and I've also seen Fred O there as well. One of the Queen's was in not long back.

Just checked dates as I thought I was on Eurodam when you were last year but we sailed 2nd February. :)

  10. What a brilliant web cam. Will definitely be using it to keep up with Azura's progress :) I do like Hamburg, it's a good city!

    Gazroberts80 & P&O Sue,

It looks as if Azura may go into the dock 17 opposite the webcam. Azura us in the river and all the lights are on in that dock.

    We will know by morning.

I'm not sure now that Azura is going into this dock. On AIS Marine Traffic it shows her destination as Lauenberg, this is much further up the River past Hamburg so we will soon know. Due there tomorrow at 10.30pm their time.

  12. Thanks for this. Great to see that P&O are returning to the Greek Islands although personally wouldn't have minded if they had used Oceana from Venice to save a cruise being 14 days plus.

I notice no Adonia cruises, which given there has been no repositioning cruise in early 2016 published, back from the Caribbean leads me to wonder if the rumours about Adonia going to Alaska are true. That said, some other rumours have Adonia leaving the fleet.

I'm on Adonia's repositioning cruise next March 18th to April 8th she then goes for her planned refit. Heard today she may then return to USA for the summer.
