  1. Yes. At 3.00am immediately after I booked they were all there along with my excursion and entertainment. At 9.00am they had disappeared.
  2. Thank you. The stress is more to do with the missing bookings I've already made and paid for. I just don't want to have an argument standing there at reception waving my receipts around. I cannot understand why they have disappeared from my itinerary having shown in there at 3.00am.
  3. Totally unfair of them to not to have it right. I wondered how many other night owls might have booked and assumedly now face my problem. Yours on the other hand is even worse. If push comes to shove I will have to use Quays or buffet but not really want I expected. It's just very much a down after all the excitement of the last few days. I hope you get sorted for your transport okay.
  4. The Arvia situation just got more insane! I have booked and paid for select dining choices for my first week, together with MDR, Olive Grove and The Limelight Club (that one believe it or not is for week 2). I did this at 2.30am this morning (the cat woke me up so decided to have a hot drink and see if it was working!). I have receipts. Just now after speaking to my BIL I went back in, just in case. Now you can't book any dining at all, all greyed out and coming soon! This seems to suggest either the slots are now all full (unlikely I thought but you can never tell) or they're resetting the website yet again. Thankfully I have receipts because my itinerary no longer has any dining in it. And it's a Sunday/Bank Holiday so no one's working at P&O. There's absolutely no way at all I'm wasting my time on this while I'm on QM2 so it now looks like I won't be speaking to anyone about this latest mess until after the Jubilee weekend because yet again we get off QM2 on a Sunday/Bank Holiday. I am so unimpressed.

  6. Probably very true. I wouldn't know as I'm not a high enough tier with P&O to worry about the time I can get on! I was surprised by the Cunard issue as I've never had a problem with them either here or abroad when I've flown out to join ships. The 4.00pm Arvia time I have is now making me anxious though, not because I'm concerned about getting on but because it appears I can only book dinner times for one week - my booking window opened today and even trying to reserve MDR past 7 days is a no no.
  7. When dining opens for your cruise on Arvia/Iona is it only the first week that's bookable at that point? If so does the second week open before boarding or can you only do it onboard? Mine has just opened overnight for 14 May and I've obtained my bookings for week 1 and The Limelight Club in week two however nothing is bookable in week 2 including pay and non pay restaurants. I get a message saying Availability Has Changed for everything including the MDRs. If this is normal and they will open at a later date do you have any idea when it might happen? I'd hoped to sort things before boarding if possible. Thanks.
  8. I've just had exactly the same with Cunard. I'm Diamond but shown as red never sailed on my boarding pass. Had to call yesterday to get it sorted. I now have a boarding pass with WC number and 12.30 priority. The lady said the systems at Carnival House had virtually melted down on Thursday with the new sales and the Cunard Coronation cruise.
  9. A new thread just opened up with an early arriving passenger for Britannia just sent away until his 3.30 time. They definitely seem to be being very strict at least with the three bigger ships. As an aside Cunard have just told me much the same for QM2 on Tuesday but I have priority boarding so not worried for that. I wonder if Carnival UK have a tighter contract with the shore staff now due to possible staff shortages still occurring.
  10. Just checked in and had a minor query as they'd removed my Diamond status from half my documents so called Cunard. Advised it will not be a problem if 15 minutes or so early but will have to sit in the priority area as 12.30 will be the absolute earliest check in will open. I was informed that on booking day the system crashed so badly they removed WC status criteria from this voyage in an effort to get it back up, apparently untold errors and problems. Several members of staff were assigned to putting it all back in yesterday and it should now all be correct, however mine was only partially reinstated. Hopefully I'm a one off.
  11. You'll be pleasantly surprised that unlike P&O your room will be ready immediately on boarding so you can go there first. I will be arriving earlier too as that's the only time I can be dropped off at such short notice, so about noon for my 12.30 boarding. Very rarely are their queues like we experience on the other side, unless of course the newbies decide not to follow their instructions.
  12. Am I right I can't book anything musical until I'm on the app onboard? My signature events in the theatre have opened up - 8 nights - so I've reserved the 8.30pm performances. Everything else has no booking app just information so do I book onboard, queue, do a dance myself or what? Dining opens tomorrow apparently, judging by how slow the website was just now I reckon I'll be on fish and chips in the Quays every night.
  13. No, just the one formal from my itinerary. We get the street party on Coronation Day, that will be interesting. I assume the events will take place in the Queens Room. It's supposed to be a Black & White Ball for the formal night. Someone said the Roaring Twenties is left over from the cancelled T/A which makes sense as its normally very popular on those. My booking confirmation says subject to change on a couple of days.
  14. It is overnight but she arrives at 11.30pm.
  15. Thank you, not sure what they'll make of my paragraph about reserving my Arvia dining though.
  16. Great, that's one less thing to worry about, now just the Roaring Twenties v the Black & White night. I was all excited about my favourite dress and gloves, now I might be taking my flapper gear as well just in case. Next stop back to P&O to sort out my entertainment and dining for Arvia which open tomorrow. I'm trying to guess at what time. It's all getting very muddled, thank goodness Cunard don't have all this booking rigmarole onboard, getting a ticket for the planetarium will be a breeze compared with Arvia and Iona!
  17. I was assuming it was a seaday as we don't get there until 11.30pm. As to when we can get off I'm not sure but if we aren't leaving until 11.00pm on 4th assumedly we can enjoy the light display etc. before sailing. I've had late night arrivals with Cunard before and you can generally go ashore in a short while once secured. All onboard on 4th will assumedly be 10.30 or thereabouts - I'm notorious for being last back on!
  18. The letter delivered to guests on QV/QM2 refers to an 11.30pm arrival on 3rd with an 11.00pm departure on 4th. Is that incorrect now?
  19. No, he lives in Dubai. Next time I visit I'll ask him to take me to dinner on the QE2 and he can wear it there instead.
  20. We shall see ... my bookings for Arvia open tomorrow so watch this space. As it was, earlier I couldn't see anything in My Booking and even my itinerary was just whirring round. They seem to have fixed it since I called, if not you'll be hearing lots of screams and tantrums as I need to fix Arvia before QM2 and Iona while I'm on Arvia! I've just paid for my Arvia wifi because if I'd done it on board they wanted to charge me £24 a day, is that really the price now? With my discount its cost me just over £153 for the two weeks bought in advance.
  21. Thank you. That sounds great. I've only been to Liverpool twice, once in the 80's to deliver some court documents and once to visit Anfield with a friend who wanted to buy a shirt there. I'm hoping to see as much as possible, I'd forgotten about Eurovision, how exciting.
  22. P&O do the same, however the big ships at full capacity are almost 3 times as many people I suppose. I'd suggest P&O need to start earlier boarding if they want to control things more. I've been speaking to them again this afternoon about technical problems with My Cruise and they mentioned yet again do not turn up early, you will be made to wait, a bit different to the lady who said after 3.00pm would be okay. I've registered for my assistance so hopefully I'll get my seat at 3.00pm as that's when I've booked my transport to arrive based on my previous conversations.
  23. Then I shall be in the minority as I've always worn ballgowns on formal nights on Cunard. It's part of the fun and I've no intention of stopping now. I haven't sailed on QM2 since my 2019 world cruise so if I'm out of place so be it. I love my fishtail trains along with my long evening gloves and they will be as ever having an airing in the Queens Room! Elegant formal evening dresses and I don't mix very well as they're extremely hard to buy in both my size and I tend to look like a sack of potatoes. Now that I can't even dress formally for Royal Ascot I've every intention of carrying on regardless. It's all part of the fun, each to their own.
  24. They do indeed, particularly on the transatlantic crossings. I note there is to be a grand Celebration black and white ball, so all the Cunarders will be breaking out their finest. Thankfully having just tried a whole load from my 2019 world cruise on, mine still fit. I was panicking as I've built my supply over 15 years on shopping in NY before boarding to come home.
