We will probably be booking this cruise today! Not much info out there, reviews, etc. with photos yet! I will be scouring for info too from now til April!! This will be my 40th birthday cruise and my son will turn 12 on the ship! Can't wait!!
-
We are looking to book this same cruise too. We will be traveling with 11 year olds in our group. Hoping there will be enough fun for them! Our sons only cruise experiences were on the Disney fantasy and the carnival breeze, so lots of things to keep busy. We will see how this goes!!

Thanks, looking for a 7 night on the Regal. I tried a mock booking, but I never see where it tells me about deposit. Thanks.

looking to book our first Princess Cruise. How much is the deposit?
-
We are considering booking, but wondered why everyone is saying nonrefundable deposit. Is that a part of the promotion, or some consequence of people changing their booking? I hate the thought of a non refundable deposit, especially since we are looking to book about 7 months out.

Can't wait to read more! We are doing this same trip in 19 days!!!

Gosh, I never thought about not having a cover overhead. We will be on deck 12 on the Breeze, will we not have an overhang? No shade?!!?
-
Our second cruise on the Breeze starts in 25 days!!

I wouldn't think there would be much of a chance. It's at least a 40 min drive to the airport from Port Canaveral. Which means you would have to be the first person off the ship, have your transportation waiting and get a super fast customs agent. No way would I risk that early of a flight.

Ok, just realized we will be in Key West during this as well. We will be there on a Monday. We are traveling with our 11 year old son. I realize that most things happen in the evenings, but a week full of fun doesn't happen only at night , right? Concerned I will have to explain a lot of things, or walk around with his eyes covered. Hate to stay on the ship though!

Yeah, wasn't sure if it was still Carnival if there was anything to be done. Guess I'll have to book another one on the itinerary we want another time!!
-
anything that can be done? I actually realized I should have booked a completely different cruise. Bummer!! Teach me to book last minute without fully researching what we want to do!!
-
Out of curiosity, are they paid some sort of wage as well as the tips? or are their earnings solely tipped positions?
-
Do you have to reserve this in advance? I want to do the brunch, my son is 11, but I'll drag him along! :-)

Ok, figured we are definitely doing Chankanaab, and have priced it doing it on our own v. thru the cruiseline. Since we will only be going there, and snorkeling, the price ends up being only about $10 difference since we would have to rent snorkel equipment on our own. Because my husband is still leery of doing things on his own, will probably book through Carnival. The excursion info says flexible return times, anyone done this and found this to be true? The excursion info says three hours, which I am certain won't be enough time for me! :) Three hours in paradise can not possibly be enough!

I just finished reading this whole review. Totally amazing!! We sailed the Breeze a year ago, and are are going on her again in about a month. Loved it! I have also loved your other reviews! We had booked the Divina for April, so I read through your review of that ship. Then we just switched to the Silhouette, so I am in the process of reading through that one. Not so sure about that ship. We were booked in the Yacht Club on the Divina, but the friends we cruise with wanted to change to the Silhouette. Price was much better, plus they are offering free drink package. BUT....it will be my 40th birthday cruise, and my son's 12th, while we are on the ship. I have appreciated your review, and it has confirmed my concerns that we will be bored. Especially after being on the Breeze!
Just an amazing review, and thank you for taking so much time to respond to comments and putting it together. Can't wait to read another one....this one with your mom. What a great relationship you have. Wishing you much happiness!!

We are going to go to Chankanaab when we are in port next month. Priced out doing it on our own (even with coupons), and if we rented snorkel equipment, the difference in the two is only a handful of dollars. So I will probably just book through Carnival, that way I don't have to carry as much cash. But what I am wondering.....on the description, it says flexible return times...is this true? I would love to spend more time there than just three hours, but wondered how flexible the times are? Anyone one done this? It's the 39.99 one.
thanks!!

Thanks, Kim. Dumb question, but good old American dollars right?!
-
Also...if we decide just to take a taxi ourselves and pay at the gate...do I pay cash? Cc? We haven't been here before and will be back in April so this may just be a scouting trip! :-)

Does Carnival do anything on the ships for Halloween? Or in the month of October?
-
We are trying to figure this out too. Can you just go and pay yourself for the dolphins or manatees? Or do you have to book through somewhere. Just trying to figure out just how much of a jacked up price through the cruise ship it is! The park's website is not very informative at all!!

Southwest has been crazy. I have been trolling for fares for many different dates, and can't find anything out of Indy for less than about $700 per person! We ended up booking from Dayton, and it still was pricey!! Just crazy!

Is this possible?
