Hi,
Were on the Edge too. Arrived yesterday from San Diego, direct flight on Delta in Premium. The Edge is here!!
The flight wasn't bad at all except when I booked our seat in the 2 4 2 config with a window and aisle bulkhead seats, when we were boarding the called our name and told us one of the tray table and arm rests was broken and they had to move our seats 😞 We ended up in "4" part of the configuration a couple rows back but we had the whole row to ourselves 🙂 The flight had over 100 empty seats so they actually had to move peoples seats from the middle of the plane to the back as we were nose heavy they said, weird.

Quick question.
Just checked in for our Australia-New Zealand cruise in March. After checking in my express pass says Elite-Pearl. We are Elite members but Ive never seen the Pearl part, Anyone know what that means? I do have a cruise booked on Icon and they have a Pearl but...... 😁

I used the app. Way easier than the Australia Visa App. Pic took about 2 seconds to take compared to Aus, took like 20 tries. Eta was issued within minutes. At least were finished with both. 🙂

I just did mine and it charged me $17 for the NZeTA and $35 for IVL. I think that is in NZ$ so it should be less in US$$

"Celebrity app did not work on Android phone the entire cruise. Kept getting error messages. iPhone had no issues with the Celebrity app."
Just so you are aware, it is a much reported fact that the Celebrity App no longer supports Android based devices. it's been mentioned here on CC a number of times. There have been posted work arounds but I would not look for Celebrity to address this issue anytime soon.
I was on the same cruise and my Android worked great for the 1st few days then kept getting an orange error. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it worked great again for the rest of the cruise.
With Android holding 70% of the Worldwide market share and RCG so big internationally, I'm guessing the "Celebrity no longer supports Android" a false statement.
I've been on this ship twice in 2 months, is it new and fresh? Nope. Is she in good shape? yup! Varnish is fading, some rust is forming, some furniture needs replacing but none that would make me question a sailing on this ship.
The food on the other hand has definitley seen a decline. Taste, some decline, but the choices seem so limited now. Only 1 or 2 apps other than the regulars. Same with entrees, they dress up the everyday chicken and steak and make them like new entrees.
Solstice class is also my favorite class of any class of ship.
BTW, this is the Carnival Magic Pre-Covid Jan 2020. I took pics at that time because I was in shock seeing the amt of rust on a sailing ship. When we say rust, nothing like this 🙂

Is Edge scheduled to get a refurburbishment this fall? Anyone been on her recently - How is the general condition of the ship? Have heard reports about stains on chusions and ripped chairs. Wouldnt broken and ripped chairs be easy to be replaced without a drydock?
Not sure if the original question was answered? Is she scheduled for a drydock this fall????

Reykjavik, Iceland - Port Bookings (Correct as of 14/07/23)
Only Brilliance booked into Iceland so far, which will likely replace Jewel from Amsterdam.
25th June 2025 - Brilliance OTS
30th July 2025 - Brilliance OTS
31st July 2025 - Brilliance OTS
3rd September 2025 - Brilliance OTS
4th September 2025 - Brilliance OTS
Brilliance to Europe in 2025, does that mean Serenade comes back to Alaska in 2025?

Maybe the sign is leftover from the Alaska season. There is no reason children should be in the solarium during any Caribbean cruise let alone a southern Caribbean cruise.
We'll be on her 2 weeks, hopefully they get it squared away. Will it ruin my cruise, no way, but it would be nice to have a Nice quiet to just chill.

We do it all the time, book Rccl while on Celebrity and book Celebrity while on Rccl. Now we tried to book Rccl while on Carnival but that was a no go. Not sure why 🤔

Probably my 2 favorites are J with the Shiplife(more cruise new but has review's too) and Chris Wong Vlogs.
Chris's Alaska vlogs were great from Ovation in 2022.

I did this exact same thing to book this balcony on Liberty. I also don't feel guilty as I had to book an inside room as well for my daughters since this room is for 3 and not 4. So Rccl actually got more money from me. Best balcony so far. Although I was able to book cabin 7199 on the Celebrity Millennium for our cruise next month. Looks pretty nice too.

The example wasn't meant after the one way cruises. That was just an example, closed loop cruises only need to visit a foreign port

Allianz's preexisting condition waiver is they look back 120 days from when you purchased the policy. You can have pre-existing conditions, as long as nothing has changed in the last 120 days, you're covered. If you have a heart condition and take a certain med and have been for a year and your Dr hasn't changed anything in the last 120 days, thats not considered a pre existing condition. Hopefully that makes sense. If something happens or you're diagnosed after you purchase the policy, thats not considered a pre-existing condition.

They don't offer those packages anymore. The indulge had premium drinks and wifi.

On my daughter's Odyssey cruise in Europe this summer they also chose a gty balcony mainly because it was $400pp cheaper, they were just going to with an interior but with her crown n anchor discount it was basically the same price as an interior. I did notice that they either aren't selling obstructed view balconies or they are sold out. My guess is they aren't selling them so they assign the gty's to them.
Still for the price as an interior, they'll at least have a place they can walk out too and get some fresh air.

Are you sure they are non refundable deposits? Usually group rates have refundable deposits unless you booked an nrd and moved it into the group.

Just wondering if it is possible with the captain club 1 category upgrade to go from a V1 to DV on the Eclipse? I know they always say Meta category so I know V2 up to V1 but not sure if anyone has had luck going from a V1 to a DV.
I have a feeling thats why Celebrity may have moved these angled verandahs to their own category so no upgrades.

Does anyone know if RCCL's cruise care covers the flights if booked thru Royal. Meaning if you cancel for any reason do you get 90% of your total vacation package? And if you cancel for a covered reason do you get 100% cash back including the air?
Im guessing Ourusualbeach will know....

Drop the luggage, deal with the jet lag/being tired/time zone change, take the train to Ravenna, I'd get a hotel for 1 night in Venice, tour all day and head back to the ship. Easy button...
Ummm, drop the luggage where?
