I am on Harmony now. We did western Caribbean last week. And I still have the compasses on my desk. I will post them in the morning.

Wow that is so kind of you Sea Shepherd. I hope it was a good cruise. Were you on the Ghost Cruise as someone called it...post Irma only 1700 passengers? Did you have to do some maneuvering to avoid Maria? Hope it was a great cruise..Thanks again.

Will do, thanks so much..safe travels to Florida..we are getting back to normal just in time for your arrival.
-
Following so I can catch up with you on your Sept. 30 Harmony. We will be on her Nov 11, same intinerary. Happy sailing..
-
Thank you very much for posting..

If anyone has a link to Harmony Western Compasses that can be printed I would appreciate it. The only ones we have are from January 2017. Am looking for something more recent. Sailing in November.

I know all of the areas everyone is From here in Florida. I just retired from Publix after 40 years as a truck driver. Everyone on this thread that will be on the Harmony with us should join us. somewhere so we can have an Irma Survival drink and celebrate vacation!
Which Harmony sailing are you on? We survived Irma here in Fort Myers..

How does the new sea pass protocol work. We are on Harmony in Nov and are told we get our sea pass in our rooms. How do we buy drinks while waiting to go to our rooms.

I am looking for Cruise Daily's for the Solstice Alaska cruise that is within the last year. Anyone have a link? I have searched online but have found nothing. Found great ones for my Harmony cruise. Any links out there.
Thank you in advance.

It might be better to post this post one the board related to the cruise line you are sailing, as it doesn't relate to this threads topic.

We always do Select dining. Just booked all my dinner reservations for dining based on our port schedule. If you have Select I advise you to do the same to get the times you want based on our port schedule. Some nights we are in late and it is later than we eat but we will adjust.

I see several Mendenhall Glacier excursions in several ports that vary in price by $20 or so. Is there a better port to do the excursion in? I am trying not to break the bank on excursions on this trip since it is our third cruise this year.

I am having trouble finding any current reviews on this excursion thru RCCL. Anyone been on this recently?
I spoke with an RCCL customer service agent who did and highly recommended it

Our big group had done Dunns River Falls as well so we opted to do The Blue Hole the second time and it was amazing. While it is a little similar, the Blue Hole is much more adventurous and fun. Everyone in our group absolutely loved it. We booked with Liberty Tours and they were outstanding. Ricardo was our guide for the tour and he was very friendly and accommodating. They came highly recommended on Trip Advisor.....that's how we found them. Hope you have a great trip!
Thanks for the imput. I contacted them about the tour and prices. I honestly was going to stay on the ship. I have never been excited about Jamaica. If he comes back with a decent price I may consider it. But thank you for the thoughts.

The Margaritaville in Falmouth does have a small pool but I don't believe it is big enough to keep a group of teenagers interested for any length of time. The Falmouth port area is nice and clean with a variety of vendors and shops. I have read a lot of security warnings about crime in Jamaica so I would advise staying with either a ship's tour or a well known travel group. We are thinking about going to the Rose Hall Hilton for the day. Be safe and have fun!
I found a website that was resortforaday.com. It has packages to Rose Hall Hilton. Don't know how it compares price wise but I think it included transportation. I would be curious if you found a better price.

I'm happy to read this. DW and I will be in Falmouth in October. Part of the reason for choosing the itinerary we did was because DW REALLY wants to see the falls. We recently found out she is pregnant and will be around 22 weeks when we cruise. When looking at the excursions through the cruise line, they all say pregnant women should not do the excursion. Hearing someone else successfully did it while pregnant helps a lot! :)
I found out I was pregnant after we booked our cruise oh so many years ago. We went to DRF and watched but there was no way I was taking a chance and climbing those falls and risking my baby. That was 27 yrs ago and I still haven't done them but I will some day. Protect your baby at all cost!

Thank you all so much for your imput. I am feeling better. I really don't want eastern, just did it in October. My favorite of the S-class is definitely Equinox. We sailed it 3 times and each was awesome. I do love the glass blowing as well but really enjoy the lawn club too and the changes. I wish I could do the Equinox again but the dates don't ever seem to work for my work schedule. Can't wait for retirement!!
Again thank you or taking the time to write.. a very Happy Holidays to everyone.

Thank you for your imput. We were not disappointed in the ship, it was the service and staff. Not at all what we were accustomed to on the other ships. I'm still not sure what I will do. Hopefully I hear some more postive comments.
Happy Holidays!

We sailed the Reflection 11/14 and said we would not sail it again. Had been on Solstice and the Equinox 3 times. They were night and day. I had the Silhouette booked but didn't want eastern so I hesitantly changed to Refection ( I can only sail on certain weeks). Reading reviews today it seems the Reflection has not improved in 2 years. I don't know how one ship can be so different regarding service within the same line. I am considering going back to the Silhouette despite the itinerary. The ship and service are more important to me.
I would appreciate any feedback...or possibly positive experiences on the Reflection.
Thank you..

Has anyone done a private..(small group) power boat tour of St. Thomas? We did one in St. Maarten and it was awesome.
Any recommendations of companies..
THanks

Thanks for all the great tips. First time on the Allure in October. Presume it is pretty similar. Copied and pasted all the tips that applied into a document so we can be sure to check them all out.
Happy Sailing!

Andrew, does Holland house charge a entry fee besides the $20 for the chairs/umbrella's and drinks? Was the jet ski an hour or 30 min?
Thanks..can't wait to go watch the scopes.
-
Thanks for the info on Holland House. Will definitely try that, especially for the wifi and showers. The food looked amazing too. How far from the drop off of the water taxi?
Thanks..
