  1. Looking at two cruises, both on thompson celebration. 7 ports are the same( Dubrovnik , katakolon ,Corinth ,itea,Corfu town, kotor, and Venice . However there are four different ports on each of the cruises. If you had to pick would you choose either koper, sibneik , korcula and Bari, or the other option of rovinj, Trieste ,zadar and split. Thanks

  2. Arrived home last night, having spent the first week in Corfu, last week on the thompson majesty. Had a wonderful time, on arrival a couple of hiccups. We had a problem with our cabin door(4028), we could not get into the cabin, and had to report this four times to reception in the space of four hours. Luckily we did not have to enter cabin, but a pain havin to keep checking if fixed, as didn't want to find at end of night unable to get in. We upgraded cabin, so normal beds, plus bunk beds, noticed sheet on bunk bec was blood stained, so had to report this to the cleaners, who said hadn't noticed as was busy. Other than those hiccups the cruise went smoothly. We had the drinks package free, didn't drink a mass load, but things could add up if not on drinks package. Worked out if we wasn't would have spent 471 pounds between the two of us in one week. Example prices hot chocolate 2.50, latte 2.30, pint of lager 3.70, glass of wine 3.90(150 ml), mock tails 2.70, cocktails 4.60. If not on the drinks package the charge on ship was 219 pounds a week, or a lager package worked out at 35 pints for 102 pounds. The food was top notch, favorite was four seasons for dinner. We had the same table and waiters. The best waiters by far, sherwin, Alfonso and seby. For breakfast preferred San Margo , other two places where seven seas, or cafe royale. For extra 20 pounds could eat at bistro, but food was so good at four seasons didn't bother. The entertainment was great, lots on throughout the day. One rough day at sea, as a result dream couldn't dock at sorrento and had to go to Naples. We nearly went to Naples, but things calmed down so still went to sorrento. First stop was Valletta in Malta, a 15 min walk to town, we caught the 53 bus to mdina, spent a few hours there. Return fare 1.50 euro, and 30 min journey. Then had a couple of hours in valletta. Next day at trapeni, caple cars running all day despite a Monday. We caught a taxi from port to erice(40 euros), and cable car back(5.5o each). A return taxi to erice would have been 70 euros. We wanted to go on cable car though. A taxi from cable car to port was 15 euros. The next day was rome, we used a company called rome in limo, very good company. Next was sorrento where two of us went round town, 15 min walk from port, other two went to Pompeii with thompsons(40 pounds each). Last stop was messina, worse port ever, just two hours there, b4 we was back on the ship.

  3. We're doin a tour while in rome, that's the only time.however using a company called rome in limo, great reviews on tripadvisor. Shame you are in rome day after as you could have joined us. Booked a tour for 8 people, costing 600 euros, so 75 euros each person( roughly 61 pounds). There is four of us, so looking for four others to join.saves hanging around for lots of people, notice on rome in limo tour sharing someone doin tour on 3 rd sept and looking for others to share, something you may want to consider.
