  1. That would be a great idea Glenndale, if people didn't have to use them to get to and fro to the cabins like I do. I have booked with a different company for next year, as they have said that I didn't have to book and adapted cabin. I also made sure they emailed me with info, in case I am ever stopped and questioned, using a scooter without an adapted cabin. Scooter girl, do RCCL relax their policy on scooters in cabins?

  2. I have asked P&O this question every time I go on a cruise, whether I had to book an adapted cabin even if I bought a luggie or fold up scooter on board and they said yes,. I even said that it folds down like a fold away wheelchair, but they still say no, you can't book a standard cabin, must book an adapted one. I have emailed several other companies to find out their policies on this, and have had different answers back. Like Dai said, the scooters are checked and tagged before check in.

  3. Hi Mairi,

I've booked with a TA, and have booked cruise and flights. I assume I'll be flying out on the 5th, landing and join the ship. Don't know any details regarding the flights. This is the first time I will be doing a fly cruise. I normally sail from Southampton and back. This is all very new to me.

  4. Thank you Brian, that's really great news! More to spend on on-board bubbly then!

Please let us know how you get on. We booked Britannia about 5 days before the OBC started for military in May 14, and was told we couldn't get it. We booked too early.

  5. I went to the cruise show yesterday. Very disappointing. Wasn't as many companies as last year. And no, P&O didn't have the new brochure out. Also, there wasn't the queues at their stand as there was last year. Some other bigger companies who had their futures cruise brochures out, were very busy.

  6. I've just tried a quote with insurance with, and with my medical conditions, which I have not had an episode for five years, have quoted me with an £100 excess, before I start . With the company I use, I have 0 excess. It's funny how company's use the same information differently.

  7. As a single, I'm not rich, but book well in advance, and save like mad to pay for it. As said before, I could not share with a stranger either. I do think some of the single supplements added on, stop a lot of singles booking.
