  1. There is a huge difference between "cancel for any reason" and medical insurance, which I get most of the time.  It is still taking a chance of something happening after final payment and before the cruise .

     

    I have found the best rates are with Square Mouth.  You will find very reasonable quotes from many insurance companies. 

     

    I have submitted claims twice.  Both for visiting the ship's doctor.  And both for colds.  I felt like it had to be more than that but wasn't.  Yes, I am a wimp.  But the insurance covered the claims. 

     

    I heard someone had a claim from visiting the ship's dr that amounted to $7000 and it was covered.

    The Yacht Club was significantly less expensive, but included far more perks;

    Free drinks around the ship for EVERYONE, a great restaurant that had different menus at EVERY meal (the Haven Restaurant had the same menu every single day). It had a very nice lounge with free snacks, free drinks, nightly violinists and pianists, and daily high tea service.

    The pool on the YC was larger than the Haven's, and had butlers coming by non-stop bringing you drinks and food (and you never had to flash a card or anything.)

    There were a few Haven passengers on our Yacht Club trip, and we all agreed it was a superior value and product.

     

    That said, I'm next doing NCL Escape (non-Haven) as there is no MSC ship close to me in NYC, and the water park is better on NCL.

    How is the entertainment?  Especially on MSC Seaside (if that is the ship you are talking about)

     

  3. Really enjoyed your review.  We have stayed in the Haven and you brought back wonderful memories!

     

    I wanted to comment on what you said about the French Press coffee.  We have asked to have it made weaker and stronger.  It is all up to who is making it.  We always asked for the same server for breakfast when we found one to make it to our taste!

    If you pre-purchase casino credits, you'll receive a card in your cabin. You take that card to the casino cage and they give you cash. It's very easy and I recommend it for anyone who is looking for cash to play with (you can purchase up to $1000).

    UPDATE:  I just called to try and make reservations for the specialty dining rooms......AND THERE ARE NO SLOTS AVAILABLE LEFT.......IN ANY OF THE RESTAURANTS until 9:45PM!!!!!!   Which is not an option for my husband and me.   I was trying to be opened minded....NOW I am just ticked off!!!   

    Your concierge should be able to get you in even if booked up
