Happy 2nd week of sailing on the Royal Princess. We loved the ship and especially enjoyed getting to meet you on our Dec. 1st sailing. Thanks for the wonderful job you did arranging our "Meet & Greet". Too bad we didn't run into you again after sitting next to you at the Beatles show. I wanted to give you our e-mail address to get a copy of the picture you took of us with the captain. Your photos of every aspect of the ship are so sharp and outstanding. Viewing them after we arrived back home this a.m. was like being on the ship again. :)
Enjoy your cruise,

Hi Dave,
We are looking forward to meeting you onboard this week so we can thank you in person for arranging our Meet & Greet, etc. Wish we would be able to sail both weeks with you. Enjoy your cruises!

I live in Ft. Lauderdale and could certainly eat lunch at home, but I want to enjoy the "ship experience" as soon as possible. Lunch onboard is something to look forward to. :)

We want to get on the ship earlier than 1:30 also. We always enjoy having lunch on ships and usually arrive at the port around 11:00 a.m. We are Gold Princess cruisers and our cabin is on the Emerald deck. :(

We will be in E727 in a deluxe veranda cabin which faces the side of the ship but next to aft mini suite (E729). We are worried about having the soot problem mainly because of problem with asthma. We were upgraded to this cabin before we read about the soot. :(

We are older than those mentioned here and enjoy cruising with people of all ages. Hope the younger crowd doesn't mind that we are on board with them.

Thanks for answering, dmwnc1959. Both my TA and myself must have an older brochure showing it as a suite. We both found out today that our upgrade is really a Deluxe Balcony. We are o.k. with it but still wondering if the E727 balcony is one that is covered.

We were upgraded to E727 - aft. Not sure if it is a suite or a mini-suite. Also - we have never been on the Emerald deck and wonder if those verandas are covered.

Returned yesterday (Dec. 2nd) from the Ruby where we thought the entertainment was fabulous - especially the singers and dancers. Also really liked the cruise director, Ron Goodman.

I would like to know if any group is booked on my Nieuw Amsterdam cruise on November 27th. The site previously mentioned for looking up this info does not have this newest Hal ship listed.

A couple of years ago, I found clear heavy duty plastic pouches at Walmart and slid the luggage tags right inside. Punched a hole in each and attached with heavy duty ties. That worked perfectly. I hope they still sell the pouches because I can't find my old ones.

Hi Steve,
So nice to see your post. Mort and I will be on the Miracle Jan. 23rd. Too bad we'll miss each other. We sailed on the Eurodam this past January. I only had time to look at 1/2 of your Caribbean Princess photos. You and Cindy look the same as when we were all on the Legend. Are you still in touch with Pat? When the Florida Marlins played the Toronto Blue Jays this past week, I thought of you. Maybe you were at the games to see us sweep your team? :D

Hi Nicole,
What a great review! You sure covered EVERYTHING and made it so interesting to read. Thanks for posting all those fantastic pictures to go along with the review. I won't be on the Miracle until January, but I felt like I was right onboard with you during your cruise. Glad you all had such a wonderful time.

Yes, Tom. Please do send your review to HAL. Maybe it will help us future Eurodam cruisers get better service. Thanks. :)

I am very surprised and disappointed to read that you experienced such poor service on the Eurodam. Sounds like HAL's reputation for wonderful service is going by the wayside on this ship. I hope you sent a copy of your review to the company (HAL/Carnival). If I had read reviews like this months ago, I would never have picked the Eurodam for my first time on HAL. :(

I'm beginning to wonder if I'm going to like the Eurodam (I've never sailed with HAL before). When I read the reviews, it seems that past HAL cruisers aren't too crazy about this class of ship - especially when comparing it to the ones they are used to. Sounds too crowded with the cabanas and narrow spacing between tables in main dining room and Lido, etc. One thing though - almost everyone mentions the good service and friendliness of the staff. :)

Bon Voyage Dave (DMWNC1959)!!!

Dave,
We've enjoyed every minute of looking at your fantastic pictures and reading the reporting of all your activities on the ship. Was so nice to meet you on our Dec. 1st sailing. Can't wait to follow along on your next cruise. Wondering if you'll be doing the Regal.
Have a safe trip home from our wonderful city of Ft. Lauderdale. :)
