Play it safe and take over the counter Dramimine. I started taking it the day before our cruise. While on the cruise I decided one day that I didn't need it. By dinner, I was hanging my head over a trash can. I will never risk that again no matter how smooth the seas are.

What would your suggestion be? Should we all just go ahead and switch to my time? How does my time work? Where and when do we make reservations?
-
We are a group of 8. My friend called to have her dining changed to early dining like the rest of us and they told her that it was full. Now we can't link our reservations so we can all sit together. How long of a wait should we expect each evening if we change to My Time dining?

I sent a message to Royal Caribbean on Twitter asking if Voom was scheduled to be put on the ship anytime soon and they said "No info on that, but stay tuned".

I'm a mocha, latte, etc junkie so I'm thinking this is a package that would be worth the money. On Carnival I didn't have any kind of drink package and spent more at Starbucks than I did on alcoholic drinks (I plan on bringing my 2 bottles of wine which is PLENTY for me for the entire cruise). What kind of coffee drinks are included in this package? Are there any fancy coffee drinks that are not included?

My phone gets really hot at times and I'm already on my 3rd iphone because the previous two had batteries that kept expanding, so I think I'll opt for the travel fan since I'm a bit paranoid about leaving any apps running.
Thank you all!

Are you serious???? I just bought those plastic holders for the luggage tags.
What kind of luggage tag holders are you talking about? I'm assuming that the luggage tags are printed out from your computer? That's how it was when we sailed Carnival.
I need to get on the ball also. We depart in a little over 2 months!

Speaking of pictures, how much do they usually run? Has someone posted a price list somewhere?
-
This is probably a stupid question, but do the rooms on the Navigator have a fan in the bathroom or something that we can turn on for white noise? DH and I can't sleep in silence and I didn't know if I should purchase a small noise machine.

Great! Thank you!
6 night cruises have two formal nights, correct? Do they do photos both of the formal nights?
-
When we cruised on Carnival, one of our best nights was formal night because they had all kinds of "stations" set up to have pictures taken. We also bought tons of pictures. Does Royal do this also? If so, we will definitely
will be dressing up nice.

Thanks everyone! I have everyone's reservation numbers and room numbers.
-
Have your TA link your reservations.:)
We booked the trip ourselves.

We will be a party of 8 on the Navigator and we've all scheduled our meal for 5:30. How many people can fit at each table? We need to call ahead of time and request that we be seated together, correct?

There's no charge for the lunch on Labadee???
-
Is there a fee for the loungers? Where all is there to eat on Labadee?
-
This is the same "sale" that we booked 81 weeks ago. 😂
I will say though that I looked to see if the price has gone down and was shocked that it's gone UP over $1,000 more than what we paid. It is spring break though....

You have a few options.
1) Stay at a hotel with a shuttle.
2) Stay at any hotel and get taxis or
3) Keep the rental car and drop everyone off at the ship and then one or two of you return the car to it's rightful owner and take their shuttle back to the ship. I have found this the easiest method.
Avis have an agency 5 minutes from Port Everglades on 17th Street Hyatt Pier 66 with a free shuttle. It is MUCH easier to drop people and luggage off before returning the car as it saves unloading the car and reloading luggage into the shuttle then again unloading the luggage at the pier.
Thank you SO MUCH for this info! I never even thought of that. Between Christmas and the stress of my daughter applying to/visiting/getting recruit offers, to colleges (she's a senior), my brain completely forgot about out cruise. I desperately need this vacation!
-
who did you book your car from? Many have spots close to the port with free shuttle to the ship
We haven't booked the car yet. I'm trying to get all info because quite frankly, I'm clueless as to what I'm doing! lol! I DO know that I need to hurry up and get on the ball being as we are going during spring break.
-
why do you need taxi if you have car?
Sorry. I wasn't very clear in my original post.
I thought most of the hotels provided free transportation to the port, but I just realized that not many do. We will be renting a car to drive down there in (another couple is riding with us so we need a larger vehicle). I had initially planned on turning it in the evening we arrived, but now I'm wondering if we should just turn it in the morning of departure somewhere near the port.
How do I move this thread? I just noticed that there is a forum specifically for Ft. Lauderdale departures.

We are a group of 8 cruising the Navigator during Spring Break. We will be driving straight through the day before (13 hour drive) and need a place to stay. Hotel prices near the port are HIGH for the days we are looking at (due to spring break) and so I'm wondering if we would be better off staying farther inland and catching a taxi or shuttle the morning of our cruise. I don't even know what time boarding begins.
WWYD?

Is there much that will keep teens ages 16-18 busy on the Navigator?
-
We will be docking in Gerogetown and I'm looking for things that do NOT involve animals held in captivity or animals being held for photo ops. So that means that Stingray City is out.
We LOVE snorkeling though. Is there anywhere in the area where we can take a cab or bus to go snorkeling?

We've never been on a RCI cruise, so we're really excited! It's kind of a graduation present since our daughter will be graduating high school. When she goes off to college we may never take another family vacation. :-(
Labadee civil unrest
in Private Islands
Posted
Has anyone heard if there is discussion about choosing another port due to the unrest in Labadee? It sounds as though the violence is escalating. We aren't due to cruise until March but I'm afraid that things won't be resolved by then going by the headlines I've been reading today.
