  1. We saw the 4/16/16 Escape inside cheaper than the other weeks when we were looking yesterday. When I clicked through, they did charge $200 more for each fare if you wanted to choose a Free at Sea promo. We booked without a promo. After seeing this thread, I checked again; they are only showing the price that was listed with the promo. Guess I got lucky!

  2. We booked first thing when we got on the BA for that night at a 25% savings. We were advised to line up early. We did not book premium seats, and were the second party seated at a table that was right next to the performers. I had never been to a Cirque performance before and enjoyed it. I also thought the food was good.

  3. My son called me last night and asked what time we had for boarding - huh? I went and looked at the cruise docs I printed out last month after doing the online check-in (just a tad excited!) and there was nothing there about a time. When was this implemented? Will we have a hard time showing up without a set time? My sister can't stand for long periods of time, so we were hoping to get there early so she could sit down while we wait to board.

  4. My sister didn't get the UBP, so she was thinking of bringing her own wine on board.

    1. Is there a limit to how many bottles she can bring on as a single? I am assuming she carries them on.

    2. Is the corkage fee automatic, or will she have to pay it for only the bottles she brings to the restaurants?

    3. When paying the fee for corkage at the restaurants, do they store the leftover wine for the next night?

Thanks for all info I can pass on to her!

  5. Thanks for the review! We are headed out 6/28 and we are planning St. George the first day and have a ressie for the whaler at Somersetbridge Watersports the second day! We always bring our own snorkel equipment, so we are ready. My sister will be thrilled to know that you can snorkel by the shipwreck; I wasn't sure if that was possible.

I think that you have me even more excited!!!

BTW, which bus did you take to SBW?

  6. The Party was Thursday night at 7pm in Spice.

We did go see Second City. I downloaded the iConcierge app and was able to make all my reservations for Second City on it. The show times did start to "sell out" so make sure you book them early. You can connect to the ships WiFi while waiting to board so you can actually book all your shows before you actually board.

Would you consider the Latitudes party worth the time? What did they serve?

And thanks for taking the time to scan and post!

  7. We are interested in taking this next month. We are a group of five; how many do the mini-buses seat? I'm concerned with it pulling up, no room for our large group, then waiting another 30 minutes and having the same thing happen again.

  8. So you made me look, and our OV GTY is now 5232! I was expecting deck 5, so it wasn't a shock. Seems to be under the big space/hallway near the Spiegel Tent. Will bring earplugs just in case!

    BTW, currently 61 days out.

  9. 1. Did they have a lobster night in any of the venues?

    2. Best location for viewing the fireworks?

    3. Do they still take reservations on board for Cirque? Our group is staying on three different ressies, so I am afraid if I try to do it online, they will have us seated in different areas!

Glad to hear you had a great trip!

  10. We did POA in 8/13 for our 30th anniversary. It was not our first time to Hawaii, or on NCL. We stayed for a few days on Oahu before the cruise, and one night/day after. If you are used to cruising, it may seem a bit different (cabin stewards have set hours), but we felt that we received good service and actually had some excellent experiences. It was so nice to have almost two full days on each island.

I don't remember any shows, and we didn't do any specialty dining. We were more interested in maximizing our time on the islands. My sister did pay for us to upgrade to a balcony cabin, which was perfect for sailing past the lava (red in the distance; was not flowing into the ocean at that time) and the Na Pali coast.

Pearl Harbor really deserves a full day; they have really developed the area and there is so much to see. Make sure you reserve your tickets online, as they can run out of the tickets.

Whatever you decide to do, have a wonderful celebration!

  11. Thanks for the reply, but you did not answer my question. Does NCL allow you to get OBC for price drops after final payment? According to your original post it does, but I went to the NCL board and found several posts that say after final payment NCL DOES NOT give OBC for price drops.

Sorry, that was Disney that we got an OBC for.
