Passion Island

Unfortunately, it was heavily damaged during Emily. They lost 2 palapas...thatched roofs over the restaurants. The beach area does have seaweed washing up so the water clarity isn´t all that great right now. I was out there on Saturday.

Hi Solita...

We are taking the tour to Passion Island in Sept. It is pretty expensive. I booked it because the beach and water is so clear and the tour operators were great there. We also like the Palapa covered restaurants. It provides some nice shade in that hot sun. However, I really don't want to go to a beach with a lot of seaweed. How do you think things will be by Sept.18?

Hi Solita-

Were you the local who used to work at Passion Island?

It sounds just lovely, but very expensive.

Under normal-weather-circumstances, is it gorgeous?

(Over the years, I've toyed with the idea of visiting, but the $$$$ scared me away!);)
