Cruise Price Has Dropped...Need Help!

I just went on ncl.com and found that my cruise for 10/24 to Bermuda has dropped their rates. When I booked my cruise, I booked an Inside Cabin. The price was $479 plus tax and port charges. Right now the price is showing $409 for an Inside Cabin. My question is...When I booked, I got a free upgrade from IF to IC. If I call my travel agent now, and ask for an adjustment on the price, is that going to change anything? The upgrade was IF to IC, and the $409 is for an IF. I don't want to change my cabin, but I would like to lower the cost. I have not made my final payment yet. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you!

You never know until you call and ask. If the upgrade promotion is still in place you should have no problem at all. If not then it is an ask and see thing AFAIK.

Ask your TA to reprice it for you and send you a new invoice. Shouldn't be a problem.

I haven't had this happen, but I would be a bit surprised if you could keep the upgrade and get the lower price. Because, right now the IC isn't going for the $409. So if you booked now, you wouldn't be able to get the upgrade and the lower price. But I could easily be mistaken.

Although, checking NCL.com now, I see the same IF-IC upgrade going for $429. Nothing is at $409. I think you should be able to get that price.

Since they are still offering the free upgrade from IF to IC you should be able to reprice your fare without any problems. I also noticed that booking it now gives a $25 OBC that you should be entitled to.

Up until final payment you will be able to refare the cruise, but are subject ot the current offers and perks.

I am booked on that cruise and my cabin ( ID ) went from 519$ to 429$, called Ncl 2 days ago and spent about 75 seconds with a charming lady who adjusted my rate to 429$ and kept my 25$ obc.

That's great!! Still waiting to hear from my TA. She emailed me and said she was really swamped today. I guess I'll hear from her tomorrow sometime. Calling NCL usually doesn't do any good when you're booked with an agent. At least that's been my experience. They always tell me I'll have to call my agent, no matter what my question regarding my cruise is. :-(

Btw, the reason I got the price of $409 is because I put in AARP and Latitudes for discounts. When you do that, it comes up with that price.

great news. ncl is usually very good about these things. we have saved a huge amount (almost 50%) from our original booking price and we are still months out from final payment. keep your eyes open and if things change again call back and see what they can do. enjoy your cruise and hve fun with your extra $148!

I have never seen the prices drop for Bermuda but I checked mine just in case and saved a total of $300. My dad saved a total of $480!! :D
