Past Antarctica Traveler Question

We are taking our first trip to Antarctica this winter and see that we can go and book our dinner reservations online. Is this necessary, and if so, what would your recommendations be? Which night(s) would be best for La Dame - probably not Drake Crossing - ha! Any advice is welcome! Thanks in advance!

We booked our reservations online and were glad we did. There are not many restaurant choices besides the main dining room and they do fill up. We went to La Dame on the night of our anniversary which was not when we were in the Drake Passage. They even take reservations for Hot Rocks, but it was awfully cold. They do give you blankets but you also need to wear your warm jacket, etc.

You are going to love this cruise! We did it in February.
