Does one have to pay for caviar on SS.....???

Sevruga caviar is free for all. You can just order them at meals or even for room service. They are quite "liberal" about it. You'll have to pay for oesetra or beluga, however. Hope this helps.

By the way, just out of curiosity, does anybody know which kind of free foie gras they serve on Silversea ships, duck or goose? How do you distinguish between the two (for caviar, presumably you can tell from the size and the colour)? Thank you.

I would hope it's goose. I wasn't aware that duck liver could be called foie gras.

Foie gras de canard is duck and foie gras d'oie is goose.

Oh, yuck....I prefer my "chopped liver" (let's call it what it is!) with French champagne. :-)

(I gave up the Manishewiitz when I left home, many years ago.)
