gnld Posted September 20, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2018 Ponant is a French line, marketed to French-speaking people. I understand there usually are a few English-speaking guests aboard cruises, but how much English is spoken by the crew/staff, announcements, printed material, etc? Are there some specific bilingual cruises offered, like Hapag-Lloyd does for German/English? I'm concerned about being on a ship with primarily French spoken & written and little English. Thank you (merci).
Edie Rodriguez Posted September 25, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 25, 2018 Hi!Thank you for your question. As a luxury brand experience we make very few announcements on board. As our crew are all bilingual at a minimum in English and French (amongst many other languages too, as we are a global brand experience), when we do make announcements they are all in fact in English and French. By the way all of our printed documentation such as menus, daily programs, newspapers, etc., are in English and French too at a minimum. Thankyou again for your question. Come and sail with us to experience Ponant for yourself.
