rtkenmore Posted January 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2018 With all the repositioning announcements, it seems there is one big glaring hole in NCL's schedule through Winter 2020... There are NO itineraries for the Eastern Caribbean from Miami. It has been a fairly consistent mainstay that the winter months include two of NCL's mega ships sailing from Miami with one going west and one going east. Winter 2018/19 features the tandem of Bliss & Getaway. The only ship currently scheduled for Miami on the regular 7 day voyages in Winter 2019/20 is Escape exclusively doing the Western itinerary. Could this mean that Breakaway Plus IV is headed to Miami instead of China? Might this ship winter in Miami before repositioning to China full-time? Sand and Seas Posted January 19, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 19, 2018 I hope you are right! We have Bliss from Miami booked for next winter and I was so surprised & disappointed to see they will move her to NY the winter after that. Unless you live in or close to NY, why would the rest of us want to fly into NY and those winter Atlantic storms? We love Eastern Carib from Miami, so I hope they are thinking the same way we are(yn)

Sand and Seas Posted January 23, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 23, 2018 Sand and Seas. We are booked for Eastern Caribbean on Getaway in late April - can you share tips for the EC ports!? Both St Thomas and Tortola have lovely beaches and you can go on great catamaran snorkeling tours. However, the two islands are very different. While St Thomas is very much a busy international 'city', Tortola is a laid back more quiet island. The people of Tortola are super friendly. We always walk around town and visit a wonderful spice shop called Sunny Caribbee. They have some nice local pottery, paintings and some great tea and spices. We also go to Pusser's Bar. Try their conch fritters! There is a beautiful beach on the far side of the island called Cane Garden Bay. If you go by taxi/bus, it will take you on some pretty steep roads but it's worth it once you get there!
