San Juan PR - Freedom in Oct

anyone have any experience with Freedom in October going out of San Juan. I currently have it booked for a good price. I Have never been to San Juan. ANyone tell me how the airport is? how far the port is from the airport? i will be flying out of the new york/philly area. anyone have any tips for flights. thanks!

The airport is around a 15-20 minute taxi ride from the pier, cost $19 plus $1 per bag and a fuel supplement. Check out JetBlue, they seem to be a popular carrier to San Juan from the Northeast.

Are you planning on arriving the day of, or the day before?

The ship leaves pretty late to accommodate the late arrivals, but San Juan is a nice place to visit. We always spend some time in San Juan prior to a cruise from there.

BTW, you may not find a whole lot about the Freedom from San Juan, since it just replaced the Adventure two weeks ago. I'd imagine that it will be pretty much the same thing- the Freedom is just a longer version of the Adventure with different shows and a few different shops.
