The Spirit is a great ship. During the day the aft, covered tiered seating area is nice by the kids pool. Close to a bar and the buffet. The main pool area is nice size too and usually can get some seats near the pool or one deck up.

Blue Lagoon is good for snacks but small. If you gamble the casino is quite nice. Front observation lounge also great.

Just off Spirit, what a fantastic cruise out of Rome

On the aft deck, 11, 12 and 13 right at the back. Usually quiet and a great place to take your breakfast or lunch, etc from the buffet. Plenty of seating and a fabulous vantage point for arriving or departing a port, sunsets and time at sea. Also a fantastic bar, Raffles, is located on 12 here. Antonio is one of the main barmen, great guy, very helpful. There is also a coffee and soft drinks point located here

The library on 12 forward starboard can be a quiet location for a read. Also a book exchange here as well as internet cafe.

Champagne Charlies on deck 8 midships is a nice bar with occasional live music late afternoon and evening, table service too.

We liked Windows on deck 6, one of two main dining rooms. never waited for a table but do avoid the first show ending at around 8.15. Good service and tasty food with half the menu changing each day

Also enjoyed a more formal breakfast here on the occasional sea day

Really like Cagneys, the steakhouse, you need to book a table in advance but varied menu and superb service

Hope this helps

John
