sbaker Posted December 17, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 17, 2017 We're new to Holland America and will be on the Westderdam over Christmas. Does HAL allow you to take pool towels from the ship onto shore? Or do we need to pack our own beach towels? We're trying to pack as light as possible and would prefer not to have to bring our own. mllewis48 Posted December 17, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 17, 2017 You get towels in your room for that purpose but bring them back or you get charged. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
OCruisers Posted December 17, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 17, 2017 Happily, you'll be provided with beach towels for your use at the pool and on port stops. When dirty, they'll be replaced with clean ones. :)
Krazy Kruizers Posted December 17, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 17, 2017 HAL provides 1 beach towel per person in the cabin. You are to use those on and off the ship. When you want them replaced, just place them on the bathroom floor. If you accidently leave one ashore or lose it on the ship, you will be charged for it -- around $30 per towel. debcruising Posted December 18, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 18, 2017 The towels available at the pools are large, solid dark blue towels. The beach towels for shore excursions are in your room at check-in, one per passenger. They are large light blue and white striped towels and must be returned at the end of the cruise, or you will be charged. Hope this helps. Happy Travels!
