Captain Scruffy Posted September 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 19, 2017 I see that Christmas decorations have been added to Gifts & Amenities. Any idea how big the Christmas tree is? Is it a real tree or plastic?

Captain Scruffy Posted September 19, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted September 19, 2017 I doubt that it's a real tree. Too much of a fire hazard. True. I thought it might be real if it were tabletop sized. Hopefully they come out with more details on this. There's literally nothing on the website other than the price :(

ktb2002 Posted September 20, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 20, 2017 I will try to upload pictures in the near future but yes it is a live "tree". We did a B2B2B totaling 11 nights over Christmas and New Years a couple of years ago. The "ornaments" are basically Disney figures attached with wire ties, not really ornaments except the red mickey head if I recall correctly. We sailed twice over Christmas since then and my son and I just took a small Santa Mickey tree with us instead.

Just be aware, if it's actually a live plant/tree, you won't be able to take it off the ship with you at the end of the cruise.
moki'smommy Posted September 20, 2017 #8 Share Posted September 20, 2017 Hey Shmoo, that's what I was going to say. USDA regulations do not allow you to bring any live plants off the ship.
MarsMc888 Posted September 20, 2017 #9 Share Posted September 20, 2017 I'm ok with not bringing it home, I just love the smell of a live tree. It smells like Christmas!
ktb2002 Posted September 20, 2017 #10 Share Posted September 20, 2017 For the life of me I cannot post the picture! If any of you want the picture let me know your email and I'll send it that way because I'm tired of fighting it lol. To me it was more of a plant than an actual Christmas tree. While it's still the same tree, it's been a couple of years and I can't remember if it smelled like a Christmas tree or not lol.

I just ordered one for our Dec 11 Merrytime cruise ... that's too bad it can't be taken off the ship... I live in Florida so could just put it in my car at Port Canaveral and drive it home... it will enjoy it aboard ship though. Thank you.
