Movement On The Spirit

We have booked a mid cabin room on the Spirit for Aug, sailing the Western Mediterranean.

Can anyone comment on how much movement we can expect. My wife gets sea sick easily and wondering if I should change to a larger ship. We love the itinerary that this ship is doing. Thank You

I doubt anyone can give you an exact answer on that. Obviously it depends on the sea state, storms, winds etc, that can change at any given moment. Even on large ships you can feel movement if the ocean is kicking up.

You have a mid ship cabin which is a good choice. Just be prepared with some anti-motion remedies and you should be okay. Here is a recent thread on those:

Just did western Mediterranean on spirit end of September... Seas were calm...had midship cabin felt very little but as previous poster stated depends also on seas....just be prepared for all scenarios....

The Med is usually very calm but it can have it's moments. Summer months are great. The Spirit is great, it has a lovely crew. Spirit itineraries are great, all fantastic ports. Mid-ship is a perfect location to be based.

I will be sailing on her for the 8th time in just 4 more days time.

Spirit is very nice ship especially being older ship...entertainment was great...service hit and miss but not horrible ...was a bit disappointed with the food...overall enjoyed cruise...was 10 night western med out of Rome...just got off ship Oct 1
