You could just cancel and rebook when you have the reward in hand, but then there's the cancellation fee.

As far as accumulation goes, I began playing My Vegas in March of '13 and got myself up to 300,000 LP's (Loyalty Points) in about 4 or 5 months....so yes, you can definitely make it up to 300k before next October....It's a lot of fun playing too.
Oh darn! What a bummer. I have about 25k points now. Was hoping to start playing like crazy and add it.

Now that I've spent 300k this morning on the OBC reward, I'm in the same boat now with only 23k points left....so it's time for me to start playing daily again.

I hope this thread continues and people add to it with their experiences so we can all learn how things go for others.

For instance, I'd like to build up my points again and maybe get the slot play, or drinks reward, but not sure if I'd be able to apply it to the one I'd be booking with this OBC reward or if that has to be yet another cruise altogether.

Hopefully in time, others will weigh in here to share.

You can play on you desktop in addition to the mobile version, more coins and more LP.

I'm soo disappointed it's only for new bookings: I have 700k LP and would have loved to get a drink package. I'm too cheap to pay it out of pocket

Has anyone tried asking if this can happen? Booking to an existing reservation?? I know that sometimes fine print says one thing, but when you call something else can happen....

I think whether or not the reward can be applied should depend on the type of reward. Naturally, if a cruise is already booked you shouldn't be permitted to apply a 2/1 reward, or a % off reward. However, for the casino, drink packages, and obc rewards, I think those should be able to be applied to an existing reservation.

Yes! I agree completely! Thats what I was hoping may happen. I'm going to email MyVegas and see if this is the case. To me it's no different than using the rewards for a Vegas show, dinner or something. You don't actually have to book the entire trip with MyVegas...just redeem the reward.

In the mean time...I'm playing like crazy!!

I too would love to be able to apply the OBC or drinks package retrospectively. Let us know what response you get

Following this, I have a cruise booked super soon, would love to add something, but clearly I've already booked the cruise. If anyone hears back from MyVegas, please post here. Thanks

I was really pumped when I first heard about these rewards as I love to play MyVegas and have used points for some nice things in Vegas (and did so without ever buying chips - no way!). But after reading all the fine print, I think these rewards are virtually useless unless you have enough points to cash in for 25% off a cruise or something similar. Since you can't use other perks with them, in almost all cases you would be better off saving them for Vegas IMHO. I will be interested to hear how others are using this offer.

I'm confused about the actual game.

Do you have to buy chips to play with real money???

I played a few rounds and now it keeps offering to sell me chips.

I don't have a bucket list! A bucket is much too small. I have a '44 Gallon Drum List!'

You don't have to buy chips, you can collect them from your Strip and from friends who play the game also. We go to Vegas twice a year and always have 3 rewards each and never buy chips. It wouldn't be a deal if I had to pay to buy chips, I'd just pay for what I wanted in Vegas instead

If you already have a cruise booked you are able to use rewards such as bottle of wine, free play for casino and obc. To use a reward for percentage off, free companion fare, etc, you must be booking a new cruise.

Hope this info helps.

I wonder if you can get three things of RCI, like the bottle of wine + OBC + freeplay if you have enough points for all of them, of course.

Be careful if you are a C&A member as these MyVegas rewards cannot be combined with C&A discounts. (at least the OBC rewards can't be)
