NickAndysMom Posted January 13, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2013 I've read here that a company called NST has speedboats that pick up at the pier in Fira & transport passengers to Oia (or the port below Oia) in just 12 minutes. I am very interested in this service for our upcoming summer trip there. Unfortunately, their website seems to be out of order. Has anyone used NST in the last month? Would appreciate any information you might have about this service & how to contact the company. Thanks!
Chloe1500 Posted January 14, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 14, 2013 No, not in the last month. But I was there in Oct--and that's pretty much the end of the season there, so you may wait a bit and then try contacting them again. I am guessing that things start up again there in late April or early May.
NickAndysMom Posted January 14, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted January 14, 2013 Thanks for the info. I will try again in a few months.
zqvol Posted January 14, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 14, 2013 I only saw one opportunity for this when we were there in August. Don't expect a 12 minute boat ride, more like 30 - 45 minutes. It is much further than you realize.
pkesquire Posted March 4, 2013 #5 Share Posted March 4, 2013 NickAndysMom, I have been in touch with Tassos (one of the owners) at NST in the last week regarding my plans to tender in Santorini in late March. He's been very helpful and responsive. NickAndysMom Posted March 8, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted March 8, 2013 pkesquire, thanks so much for the information! I will take a look at their new website. It seemed to have been under construction when I looked for it a couple of months ago. If you have any input after your return from your trip, I would love to hear it. Our trip is not until July, so I have time to plan & make changes based on feedback. I appreciate your help! Beverly
canagal Posted April 18, 2013 #7 Share Posted April 18, 2013 :) Our trip isn't until Sept, but trying to get info on our ports. It would be great if you could post or email about your experiences with NST and the boat/bus trip- I'm jealous that you are all leaving sooner ;) email is a1a12289@telus.net- thanks
paul929207 Posted April 18, 2013 #8 Share Posted April 18, 2013 An alternative is the public bus. We took in in October. It was about 1.50 Euros per person each way. Beautiful scenery.
