Old Ships in Freeport

When we were leaving Freeport, Bahamas last week, we noticed two older cruise ships seemingly abandoned in the Bahamas Shipbuilding yard. These vessels had an interlocked R and C on the stacks. One had a dark (blue?) hull, the other white. Anyone have any idea what ships these are?

the ship is called the Casino Royale.

Note: the C/R on thr funnel was added after this article.

The Casino Royale is most definitely the dark hulled ship. Now to find the name of the white hulled one. It has the same stack emblem.

 

Thanks for the link. Anyone have any idea why these two ships are sitting in the yard? They look like long-term residents.

I heard recently that the old Regal Empress was beached (or whatever the term is) recently. I sailed on her in 2005 and saw her in Freeport at the docks in 2008.

Yes indeed, the Regal Empress is on the beach at Alang and the cutting has begun. He will go hard as he is a very deep draft hulk.
