nygirl07 Posted September 6, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 6, 2009 I know I tried making reservations at some reasturants and they want you to pay at that time...are they doing the same with spa services? I would love to pre book them but would rather have it charged to my onboard credit. Does anyone know?
Tagsalong Posted September 6, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 6, 2009 Yes, we pre-booked restaurants for Jan. 2, and had to pre-pay even though we have a couple hundred OBC. Did not want to miss out on the new ones if they were sold out before the the cruise started. However, I called D+ desk to ask if we could use OBC and they said no to all venues, including SPA. We did not pre-book the Spa because we did not think it would be as likely to be sold-out and we can use our OBC.
Tagsalong Posted September 6, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 6, 2009 Oh, BTW, Spa reservations not available for pre-booking on-line.
cnc123 Posted September 7, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 7, 2009 I have attempted to book shore excursions and ran into the same thing. They want a CC # at the time of the reservation. This stinks IMHO, because I have OBC that I want to use for those things.
nygirl07 Posted September 7, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted September 7, 2009 I think it said somewhere that they will be pre booking spa services soon....so the only way to use an onboard credit or get it put onto our cruise acct is booking on the ship right? That does stink
lakette3 Posted September 8, 2009 #6 Share Posted September 8, 2009 This is not something new and just for the OASIS. If you pre-book restaurants and excursions on any of RCCL ships, you have to pay for it now.

This was in the latest Chaimans Blog: Second, starting September 20th, guests will be able to pre purchase spa treatments. There are several new spa offerings, including a 24 Kara Gold Facial, a dedicated Brow area in the Salon and a Thai Yoga Massage. If you book the restaurant prior to sailing, they will charge your credit card at the time of the booking. So, you can wait until gettting on the ship, but then you face the availability issue.
